and this was when the countdown started (a lot of you kept interacting with the posts saying you couldn't wait until we had the dates so that we would be really counting down the days!!). this was back in june after netflix tudum on may 31, when they announced the release dates!!:

even though the good morning byler nation posts might not be such a big deal, they were important to me!! so here goes a silly little recap of it all:

most days throughout this whole period of time, i posted each of these as the first thing i did in the morning, whenever i was stalling in bed or having breakfast (sometimes as i was brushing my teeth) it'd be at different times too (mostly around 6:30-7:30 am for me). however there were days i was late because i ended up oversleeping and woke up in a COLD SWEAT knowing Something Was Wrong because i hadn't posted anything yet 😭

what was NOT fun though was figuring out how to do the countdown properly, thw moment we had the dates. god that stressed me out! it's so stupid but it really made me anxious and doubt myself the entire time UGH it was so frustrating (took me a few days to actually Know how i should do it properly so everything would align the way it should LMAO)

there were times i was worried it might annoy people (mental illness doing its job) and so i kept wondering if i should stop or make them less frequent but thank goodness i had your back and lots of you sending encouraging words and telling me to just keep going and ignore those thoughts/feelings and i'm really glad i never let myself be stopped!! i almost never felt like it was a chore, there were actually just a couple of times where i had to schedule posts due to not being here because of mental health and all that.

there have been countless variations to it too!! that was always such big fun! to choose the way i wanted to word it differently every day, choose the emojis, the order of the phrases, everything! the ways i addressed you guys: byler nation, bylers of the world, lovely bylers of the world! i never wanted to keep using one all the time in case it got boring or repetitive....i put a lot of thought into it so it could be enjoyable!! we were counting down the days until the miwi flashback and until the painting confrontation and until some gates came true and until the byler kiss as heroes plays in the background and mike tells him "let's start a new party, you and me".

the 7-themed surprises were WILD! i was always so nervous about what theme to choose or what question to ask or to do them thinking it would be stupid but so many of you engaged and seemed to enjoy!!!! it was SO NICE to read everyone's interactions and to have people tag others and make things bigger, wow!!

all this to say it has been a PLEASURE to be with you guys every morning!! it has been SO FUN!! it's been awesome to read all your comments and reblogs and tags saying you enjoy it!!!! so fun and funny too that with timezones, there were people reading them at night or at the crack of dawn or in the afternoon, but it didn't seem to matter? it always made me smile whenever each of you thanked me for it or said you liked it or that you were going to miss it or sent me an ask talking about it. it was really sweet and heartwarming <3

like i said, i might be overreacting, but i don't really care. routines are a big deal to me and now that this is over, it's going to be weird and different and i want to deal with this properly so i want to say goodbye to this habit the way i won't feel the blow as much, you know? the show is ending and this is ending too, so these special things deserve a warm, sweet farewell from me!

im gonna be very sappy now and say i love byler with my entire heart, their bond and story are very meaningful and dear to me and i love this community a lot too. you all are amazing people, very kind and precious, and you deserve all the best things the world has to offer!

so THANK YOU, lovely bylers of the world, for being with me every day!! thank you for every comment, reblog, interaction! you all are the best company i could've ever asked for!! as a neurodivergent and extremely shy person, i've always lacked the confidence to speak about my interests or to be excited about things without worrying or thinking i'm a bother. i've always had trouble truly expressing myself the way i wanted and thought it was best for me, but here i can truly be myself with no fear. you might not understand what i'm talking about here or it might seem a little too much, but i just wanted to share with you that the way i feel here matters a lot, i love being part of this community!!

lots of you usually said that my posts made the wait easier or that they brought a smile to your face or that it made you excited to start the day and the same happened with ME!! you made the wait bearable and the sadness of losing the show slowly less painful!! you made things special for me too!! it's like i was alone on the swings, alone and scared, and you guys came along to befriend me!!

i hope you enjoyed to tread this silly little path with me just as much as i enjoyed treading it with you!! as our dearest boys would say, crazy together, right? 💛💙
