hey, are you bored with extra time? you should read drinking coffee elsewhere by zz packer bc I just finished it and I want to read it again
Most of us fear that in growing old, we’ll become a shell of ourselves. But, of course, it’s the youthful versions of ourselves that are our shells; we must leave them behind like a snakeskin. We must grow out of ourselves to grow being our old limits, or else risk being suffocated by the sediment of our own history.

This week’s short story is "Drinking Coffee Elsewhere" from ZZ Packer, enjoy Belletrist babes!
She knew that she should hurry, but she couldn't. She had to stop and look. The sky had just turned her favorite shade of barely lit blue, the kind that came to windows when you couldn't get back to sleep but couldn't quite pry yourself awake.

Brownies - Drinking Coffee Elsewhere by ZZ Packer
"Speaking in Tongues" written by ZZ Packer.
I read this short story in Drinking Coffee Elsewhere, a book published in 2003 by The Berkley Publishing Group.
My thoughts: This short story gaslite me for around 10 pages. I knew Dezi was a bad guy and for a second I thought they would still make him written as the good guy. Like the pages gave him such a nice light, however the whole situation was a red flag. However I do need to remember it's through Tia's point of view. She's so young and of needing help. My favorite character was of course Marie. It’s cliche but she was a cute character with a cute story.
This is my first post. I really hope to get more critical of the books I read and go into depth of analyzing the characters and story.
It’s reading outside weather! 😍
