I Never Sleep on Sunday

I am sitting in the library, and I am having a crisis. See, I up and put my two weeks notice. Good idea and all, except I don't have anything planned. It would have been smart to secure a job before I up and left. All I have is weekend coffee job to hold me over. That doesn't make nearly enough to pay for bills. Thinking of taking a CNA class. But that is like a thousand dollars. As well as two months before I get the job.

I read this short story in Drinking Coffee Elsewhere, a book published in 2003 by The Berkley Publishing Group. 

My thoughts:  This short story gaslite me for around 10 pages. I knew Dezi was a bad guy and for a second I thought they would still make him written as the good guy. Like the pages gave him such a nice light, however the whole situation was a red flag. However I do need to remember it's through Tia's point of view. She's so young and of needing help. My favorite character was of course Marie. It’s cliche but she was a cute character with a cute story.
