Something just made me realise how few of the best...pieces of music from Higurashi are in the first two arcs like damm. (This is me gusshing about Higurashi's soundtrack, no spoilers.)
Not saying Onikakushi doesn't do atmosphere really well and that Gear, Dawn, Tell a thing and Theme of owner aren't heart wrenching and also there is Fascism (yes that is the name of one of the soundtracks look it up) which I can't decide if its good or just weird but is there and I do like it, it convyed what it needed to so well.
But the really good ones are so much later on Lie lies-lies lie (aka everyone is dead) is Tatarigoroshi, Days of children Himatsubushi and every amazing track is answer arc like wow.
Meakashi' Thanks at the end of the first ch made me cry so hard, Shadow, Solitude, Confession and You (or Dear you) to they are soo sad. And don't remind me of Daily passing by...😭Shion...Satoko whhhyyyy. And if Festivals isn't the perfect encapsulation of what it sounds like to be losing your grip on reality idk what else is.
Tsumihoroboshi has brought sadness w Frozen memories, Bellflower, Amber, Feel (it does hit you in the feels Reeena why😭), Birth and death's whole remembering..."Get well soon!-Mion"😭 still makes me cry...also w Cradle song that one hurts so bad to. But it also brings sooo much EPICNESS as well w Night when the invisible scares you, Wandering words lead to heaven and the credits being to Zero aaahhhh epicest arc so far and I have a feeling we can only go higher now.
Also Beat is soo good to Minagoroshi first ost.
But there is so much more I have only heard on the soundtrack and am so excited to get to bc they sound great like R of can, Fearlessness, White mist peak, Hollow, Requiem for the disaster, Moon, Years, You destructive, Being, Festival, Assult operation, Search and destroy and Beyond the skies all sound so good. Also listen to the Umineko soundtrack it slaps harder than anything else I know and is big part of why I'm reading Higurashi in the first place.

this is yet another instrumental kanon/air arrange album. it has that classic doujin sound while not being boring or flat, which can be pretty rare (unfortunately). i intend to check out more code zts label stuff in the future!
