i’ve come to a realization, all three british characters in Guilty Gear are zoners, this implies that the queen is a zoner
Annon-Guy: In terms of fighting games, you ever ran into a character who becomes a cheating bastard when a human player takes the reigns compared to the computer?
For me in DNF Duel, it's the Ranger. I like his character, story and personality and he's enjoyable to play as and is manageable when I fight a CPU version of him... but against a human controled Ranger online...
BURN IN HELL!
Like... is there a character in Guilty Gear StrIVe and BlazBlue Central Fiction you hate fighting against?
If they were actually cheating, they would be doing everything outside the abilities of the character they were using, no?
I've seen my share of lag-switch and auto-input videos, so there are some people who DO actually cheat, but in terms of NORMAL zoning characters, in general, you have to be smart in how you play Defense.
Using moves that cut through the nonsense, like Carnage Scissors, or (what's the DNF equivalent?) something that has invulnerability frames to projectiles... being aware of those kinds of moves and knowing when to use them is important, especially against heavy-projectile users.
Worst-case-scenario, you have to take a "chicken-guard" stance: by that I mean: you block while advancing forwards inching ever-closer to your opponent and then counter them when you're in range.
This video is old, but it illustrates the idea of how to manage a zoner.
Else, you could also go for the BlazBlue equivalent of Ragna versus Nu:
In terms of who I find annoying?
Well, let's put it this way: who ISN'T ANNOYING?
I take the approach of considering who I'm using and who I'm up against and consider my tactics accordingly, since I don't have a main or regular character I choose.
My choices when it comes to dealing with long range opponents are limited, and they can test my patience, HOWEVER... being aware of the mistakes the other player can make, capitalizing on them, and keeping the pressure ON THEM can effectively alter the flow of the match.
Here's my Anji (in Strive) dealing with quite a few long-ranged foes:
Consider the tools at your disposal. Consider the mistakes your opponent CAN make, consider the situations you can FORCE them to make decisions ON, and lastly, keep on PRESSURING THEM, and zoning will prove FRUITLESS to someone who CAN'T BE STOPPED.
This is my advice to you (and to all of you for future reference)!
Here's one more for good measure:
Revised History of the DCU: Bonus (Superman related)
So, here’s a little extra, a storyline I came up with using some of the ideas from my take on Krypton...
It begins after Superman's first encounter with kryptonite, when he asks Green Lantern to head out to what's left of the Rao system and destroy any of the stuff he finds there. While doing so, GL stumbles on a Kryptonian STL spaceship carrying three surviving Kryptonians in suspended animation. Naturally, GL brings it back to Superman. Supes, who at this point knows next to nothing about his heritage, is naturally curious. He gives the ship ot STAR Labs, who figure out how to wake the three, and do so, not knowing that they are in fact, the infamous terrorist-leaders Mala, Uban, and Kizo. At first, the Evil Three play it cool, buttering Supes up while they scope things out, trying to get him on their side as they prepare to take over the planet. Fortunately, Supes manages to see through them. Also, since they're more demagogues then fighters, he's able to take on all three of them, forcing them back into the ship and it's stasis field, which he then launches back into space. Of course, in doing so, he kinda wrecks the STAR Labs facility were the ship was being held. Feeling guilty, he gives them the ship that brought him to Earth. While examining it, the STAR scientists discover that, being somewhat jury-rigged, a number of parts had been cannibalized from another machine, which they manage to reassemble. It turns out to be a Phantom Zone projector, and they accidentally release Ursa, who in turn frees General Zod and Non-Ek. Dru-Zod sets out to kill Superman in revenge for what the General perceives as his father's betrayal; his loyal lieutenants go along with this, albeit reluctantly. This proves to be a harder fight, but between Ursa and Non-Ek's reticence and some help from his superhero friends, Clark is able to prevail and send the General and his aides back to the Zone. Unfortunately, it turns out that when the STAR Labs guys deactivated the stasis field on the Evil Three's ship, they screwed it up, so it didn't quite work right. Thus, the Evil Three were aware of what was going on below them, and are eventually able to escape. Upon doing so, rather than try to go it alone again, they swipe the PZ projector and free their master, Jax-Ur, who has spent his years of captivity reviewing how his mind-altering machine went wrong and perfecting the design. With the help of the brothers, he builds a device that allows him to take control of his "Seeds", which he promptly releases from the Zone. So, now we have the Kryptonian equivalent of Lex Luthor, leading an army of several hundred Kryptonians, all of whom are varying degrees of crazy, and many of whom are also geniuses. Obviously, this is a serious problem, such that Superman has no choice but to enlist the aide of General Zod and Lex himself to stop them...
With hollowed tendrils at their core, these big birds are able to take flight and glide throughout the skies.
When prey is spotted Zoners will often dive at their target and attempt to pin and impale the being. If there’s a group, they will impale a target and fly away from the others to ensure their meal doesn’t get stolen and so they won’t get attacked.
They’re able to regenerate the membrane between their wings however damaging but enough will ensure they are unable to fly
