So I watched the movie (don’t ask how) and here are my thoughts:

Jesus, this movie is long. Personally, it would’ve worked better if it was in two parts because of how long it is but if it works, it works.

Barry Allen sure falls a lot. Fastest guy in the world apparently has feet made of jello.

Still not a fan of Cyborg’s design. Not the general design, mind you. It’s pretty cool but I would’ve preferred if it was bulkier. After all, Cyborg is supposed to be a big guy.

Love how the movie didn’t hide away from blood. Like, that slo-mo scene was viscerally detailed.

Setting for the final fight kinda sucked. It’s an abandoned city so when they stood in their victory pose, it looked goofy as hell.

Oh, you’ve finally arrived. You Amazons are slow as hell, coming in at the last seconds. Your sisters got slaughtered for crying out loud.

Steppenwolf be like “Character? What character? Oh this? Yeah, I got banished and am sad. That’s it.”. Like please, give villains better character. They desperately need it.

Barry also has no pain tolerance. He gets hit the least but each time is always super painful for him.

I’ll excuse Arthur’s lack of character arc since he has his own movie. I do not excuse Barry’s very little one. I guess his mom was killed and his dad was falsely accused which is why he got into forensics and criminal justice but the movie kinda just sped through on that. So he doesn’t really have much of a foundation.

Cyborg, on the other hand, gets all the character arc. Like, a large portion of this movie is about him. The struggles he face as a machine, the guilt from surviving while his mother perished and the anger and hate he has against his neglectful father. It’s all wonderful, I admit but Cyborg should’ve just gotten his own movie instead of taking the Flash’s needed character space.

Oh hello, Martian Manhunter. You look weird and are kinda slow. Probably from all that CGI instead of just giving an actor makeup and a costume.

ALSO, WHEN HAVE YOU EVER CALLED YOURSELF “MARTIAN MANHUNTER”???

Jesus, this movie has a lot of music. Like, every scene has some music. Especially Wonder Woman. Like, she does anything and her hymns come out going “AaAaAaAaAaAaaaa”.

Still not sure why Superman has chest hair. I know that’s a dumb thing to be peeved about but really, if he’s gonna keep his chest hair, he should have a beard too.

Aquaman, you’re weak as shit. Flash, you’re also weak as shit. Batman... You’re human so I excuse you.

Cyborg is the best btw.

I am reminded that Amber Heard is in this movie and hopefully not because Zack Snyder is friends with her but because of contractual obligations. This blog does not support abusers.
