Gosh darn it, Dani. Hani wanted to mutter under her breath but she got busy drinking her wine. Why the hell was this the topic again? Ah, because she asked for her top five guys. Hani pauses to collect her thoughts. Was there anyone memorable? She’s seen and met a lot of guys in Seoul but Myeongcho is a small island. So she places her drink down and goes ahead with her own top five. “In no particular order.” Hani begins.

“Okay, do you know @mitheon? Good god, I swear he’s Adonis in the flesh. He looks good in a tux and he’s got manners of a Prince. It’s like a dream being in his presence. I’d f*cking pay him to get on his lap, sis. I ain’t even joking. He’s hot, powerful and rich. My type of man. I don’t fancy a guy who doesn’t shave since it gets in the way when you kiss someone but good lord! How that works for him- I don’t know. I’d sleep with him till my legs give out. I don’t blame Aphrodite for falling for Adonis, really. Because if he is Adonis, I’d leave Olympus to get it on with him in the woods.”

This might sound creepy and weird, but whatever. He’s tall and he’s cute when he flirts. Whining for attention. I just wanna kiss him. Don’t tell him that though- he might think he’s that handsome- he is, but we don’t want him to come to tell me that I called him handsome. That would get annoying and I am not that tall to grab him by the back of his neck and kiss him to shut him up. But he’s hot.”

There were times I wanted to grab his butt for no reason- He is attractive and he can work a Birkin well. Not everyone can work that well. You have no idea how hot he is when he gets out of his car when he picks me up.”

“Would you believe that @crownxmi picked me up the other night and he looked just hella attractive waiting outside Healthvine? He’s not my typical type but I’d do him, sis. No kidding. He’s like that soft but hot inside kind of guy? I don’t know. There’s something really charming about him that I want to dive into whatever waters he is in, honestly. I mean, why not? Also, just so you know, I don’t want to give the same list you had even though some of them are perfect for my list.”

the night is eclipsed with another bout of sonder. there are places to be, sometimes puffed in his mind like naked, lit cigarette. lungs seem to contract with carcinogen. the after dark voices are accompanied with siren sound from a distance, removed enough for him to forget that he’s a part of this pandemonium. it’s an entirely different sphere for him tonight, enclosing himself in a hyperfocused tension that stretches for too many meters. in here is someone else’s territory, too close to the lair that someone would deem as their rightful place. however, in this captivating crescendo of the night’s whisper, he doesn’t care about the breach. or, in fact, he does care due to the fact that he’s pissing someone off. treading into the competitor’s area is bad enough; worse is when he’s trying to capture the victim between his own teeth, trying to bite it off before the supposed man does.

he understands that it would mean aggravating someone, but isn’t that the purpose? the end goal. a sense of wildfire that spreads from the adrenaline. prepares his sniper gun, the scope of the aperture fixated towards the clause of this soon-to-be crime scene. he eyes the man’s presence within the periphery, knowing that he’d antagonize the other hitman by taking out the victim prior to the time allocated for it. but that’s the essence of his current standing, lurking in the shadows of an opponent’s territory for this. he blocks out the ambience in his surroundings, turning it into a static, white noise, concentrating on the whole act. his scheme unfolds itself, and he closes an eye as he fixes his attention to the victim, now seated in her chair. a ceo with too many competitors, and as soon as she dabbled into the underground world, she’d like to dip out with loaded secrets in her mouth. doesn’t work that way, sure, and this opponent is supposed to take her out in less than a minute now. he smirks underneath his mask before pulling the trigger, straight through the glass window, bullet slicing into the cranium, brain. split splat of blood. a clean shot, noticed by the supposed shadow. he lets his presence known by the other man before pulling back.

there’s a few things in the world that wonwoo can’t stomach; can’t stand. spiders, the dentist, frustratingly tiny boxes that his long, slender fingers can’t handle with ease— and someone stealing his fucking kill. it’s happened more times than he’d like to admit. he remembers a few years ago, the rivalries he had, the way he would have done anything to ensure a kill even if it meant putting his own life at risk. stupidly, recklessly, he would rush into the action, aggressively assert dominance he felt he deserved until the situation favoured him or his opponent fled the scene, laughing as they go. he was pitiful, pathetic— he can see why they would find him amusing. it didn’t mean that he particularly liked thinking about it, though, and going through it again now only brings all those feelings back to the surface. sure, the end goal is the same but being one-upped— it leaves a bitter taste in his mouth. 

being one-upped in such a smug fashion, however, is something else entirely. 

he doesn’t like guns. the mess left behind isn’t satisfying enough. a splatter at best, how boring. it seems his competitor has an affinity for them— a sniper if the distance is anything to go by.  perhaps a jack of all trades. wonwoo doesn’t know and maybe that’s what frustrates him most. there’s no one he can think of off the top of his head that would do this, that wants to belittle him in this way specifically. so what’s the motive? what’s the point? just to sour his evening? why? revenge isn’t something he’s unfamiliar with and he’s sure there’s more than enough people on this island that would thrive seeing him suffer, but there’s no way he could have ever kept track of them all over the years. it could be anyone. there doesn’t even need to be a reason. maybe they’re just an asshole. he scowls in the direction of a moving shadow in a window a little distance away, decides in a split second whether to go looking.

Min doesn’t have a big amount of friends, for a lot of reasons probably. Some people for some reason gets disgusted by Min’s flirting (which according to Min, makes no sense) other gets too attached and suddenly wants a relationship with Min, and so Min has to push them away. Others for some weird reason find it difficult or weird to hang out with Min after they’ve had sex, Min doesn’t mind, but apparently some people do. This one guy however, he had managed to befriend, their first meeting was Min saving the dude from getting punched, so basically Min was this guy’s hero, right? Yet, Min doesn’t exactly get treated like a hero, Jongin here isn’t head over heels for Min, no he isn’t even letting Min kiss him. By time Min normally accepts the fact when some people don’t want him, this guy however, he’s still trying his luck on, he really badly wants to kiss Jongin, but the guy just won’t let him.

one of the most important things taemin believes joining a gang has taught him about himself is that he lives for adrenaline. he spends much of his free time seeking out those rushes that drugs and alcohol have just never quite accomplished for him. he doesn’t remember exactly how he met jongin personally, but it’s not hard to know about the millionaire’s ( or bajillionaire, taemin doesn’t know, all he knows is jongin’s dad is Loaded with a capital L ) son who takes over the streets in his races. 

how odd it is to be walking into a large group of people and not receive admiring stares or pleas for an autograph.  not that seolhyun minds,  actually welcomes the change with bright eyes and an easy smile.  sure,  she’s being recognized,  but no one is pestering her for anything,  allows her curiosity about racing to grow with each step she takes closer to the person she’s meeting up with,  each expensive car her eyes observe.  the smell of gasoline lies thick in the air,  something the model has yet to get used to.

“looks like you’ve got some real rivals here,  jongin.”  her way of greeting her chidhood friend after managing to find him in the midst of all the commotion.  though the first thing hues of brown land upon is the fancy car beside him.  truly a gem,  pricy,  impressive.  even seolhyun can tell it’s worth a lot,  doesn’t dare to lay a finger on -- although the temptation to touch it keeps urging her.  

strands of black are tucked behind her ear and dainty hands rest on her hips,  eventually tearing her gaze off the vehicle to glance up at him,  thin brows raised high,  “well,  you better win today or i’m going to be real disappointed.  although,  with me beside you,  there’s no way you can possibly lose.”

If Hani would ever have to give someone a piece of advice it would be that, don't get in a stranger's car and ask them to drive you anywhere. That's what happened. Where it all began. She started owing Jongin favors and over time she's been using him as a front. Her darling "boyfriend" who refuses to buy her a Birkin. Hani was surprised how he doesn't even mind how she's basically always calling him to pick her up or save her from whatever situation. 

He's her personal Knight In Shining Armor. But saying he's her darling in a fancy Lambo would be cooler and more fitting since he prefers to be called darling more than anything else. That's how she ended up in his place, watching over him. Making soup and making sure he takes his medicine on time. 

“Do you know why you're sick, Jongin?” She asks, putting an emphasis on his name and how she's not calling him darling. She's been mad at him for two days now over something really stupid. A Birkin. They bicker over a Birkin and she ignores him for two days but shows up at his place when she learns that he's actually sick. 

“Because you refuse to buy me a Birkin. That's what selfish people get.” Hani tells him, approaching with a damp towel at hand to place on his forehead. During moments like these, Hani actually sees that Jongin is still so young and that he's just a baby who needs all the care and attention from Hani. 

“Also, let go of that goddamn Birkin. I'm not taking that! If you want, you can ask that bag to take care of you. I'm going home.”

Jongin: ...

Hani: Jongin.

Jongin: I'm not Jongin. I'm darling.
