Today is Zero Discrimination Day. As part of writing Llyfr Enfys I've begun to name oppressions which don't yet have words in Welsh, such as exorsexism, aphobia, arophobia etc. It is my hope that Llyfr Enfys can help the fight against queerphobia.

Η 1η Μαρτίου είναι η Zero Discrimination Day, η διεθνής ημέρα που, σύμφωνα με την UNAIDS, υπενθυμίζει το δικαίωμα κάθε ανθρώπου να ζει μια πλήρη και παραγωγική ζωή με αξιοπρέπεια. Τι σημαίνει η ημέρα στην πράξη Η Zero Discrimination Day δεν περιορίζεται σε ένα γενικό σύνθημα «κατά των διακρίσεων». Εστιάζει στη συμπερίληψη, τη γνώση, τη συμπόνια και στην ανάγκη να μετατρέπεται η αρχή της ισότητας σε καθημερινή πρακτική. Γιατί αφορά άμεσα την LGBTQ+ κοινότητα Οι διακρίσεις λόγω σεξουαλικού προσανατολισμού, ταυτότητας φύλου, χαρακτηριστικών φύλου ή κατάστασης υγείας επηρεάζουν την πρόσβαση σε εργασία, υπηρεσίες, περίθαλψη και ασφάλεια. Γι’ αυτό η 1η Μαρτίου δεν είναι μια αφηρημένη υπενθύμιση, αλλά μια ημερομηνία με πολύ συγκεκριμένο κοινωνικό βάρος. Ποιο είναι το πιο ουσιαστικό μήνυμα Η μηδενική ανοχή στις διακρίσεις ξεκινά από τη γλώσσα, τη στάση και την καθημερινή συμπεριφορά. Μια κοινότητα γίνεται πιο ασφαλής όταν η αξιοπρέπεια δεν εξαρτάται από το ποιος είσαι, πώς φαίνεσαι ή ποιον αγαπάς.
