Have all the siren asks been posted?
You know, I was so sure I had done it... But of course, I just checked and it turns out I completely forgot to post Z here. Iâm really sorry about that. It mustâve slipped past me right around the time I got sick. đ„č
No long justifications: Hereâs Zâs scenario now. And with that, everyone has finally been posted. đ€
This is it - the last Siren scenario for Z. As always, Iâve split it into Zephiron and Zephyra versions. As for the other gender-variable characters: I randomized those once again. đČ
I hope you enjoy it. đ
The deck groans beneath your boots as you and the others brace against the wind. Salt stings your lips. A storm is rising - but itâs not just the weather howling in your ears.
Itâs a melody.
Low, ancient.
Older than any sailorâs song ever sung.
The sea swells like itâs breathing too fast. The kind of movement that means something has stirred beneath it.
You grip the railing tighter. You donât see them yet, but you feel them.
Sirens.
Their presence pulls at the edges of your mind - makes you think of what you long for most. Not in clear shapes. Just⊠hunger. Ache.
You try to focus. Try to think two steps ahead. But itâs hard.
Sirens donât fight you. They unmake you. Because they arenât what the stories made them into. Not really. Not soft. Not beautiful. Not kind.
They donât tempt. They take. And Gods, they know exactly what to show you.
You shake your head. The others are shouting, moving - steel drawn.
You snap back to the now, raise your voice:
"Strike them down! Quickly! And donât trust what you see. Theyâll wear your deepest longing like a mask.
But when you turn back - you freeze.
Because standing on the railing isâŠ
Zephiron.
Snow-white hair. Ice-blue eyes. Thereâs no question. Itâs him.
And for some reason, a soft hum escapes you. Dreamlike.
Heâs beautiful. Unreasonably so.
You canât stop looking at him. And then the thought settles, disturbingly gentle -
Why donât you always look at him like this?
You donât know the answer. Truth be told, you donât know much of anything anymore. Except that you want to go to him.
"Alright, poison boy. You owe me drachmae." Drakonâs voice breaks through at the edge of your mind.
"If this werenât bleeding my coin dry, Iâd be so entertained." Dorian groans theatrically.
He casts Zephiron a long, withering look. "Really, Zeph? You told me there was nothing going on."
But Zephiron just smiles, soft and guileless. Too soft. Too guileless.
And yet - his eyes flick constantly to you. To your dazed steps.
"I said thereâs nothing yet," he murmurs.
Thera sighs from the shadows, voice quiet and bone-dry. "If I didnât know you all, Iâd assume you were terrible people."
It draws a laugh from Dorian. "Darling, you wound me."
But Zephironâs gaze never stills. Still, he doesnât move.
Then - Alexos rolls his shoulders with a sigh. "Gods. Youâre focusing on the wrong thing. I'll get them."
He steps forward. A single stride to you, still drifting toward your doom. Until -
"No." Zephironâs voice. Sharp. Commanding. Enough to stop Alexos in his tracks.
And then - within the span of a blink - Zephiron is at his side. Passing him. Moving toward you.
"This is my concern," he says low, almost a growl. Too harsh. Too fast. Too full of something else entirely.
Alexos just closes his eyes in quiet recognition and steps back toward the others.
They watch as Zephiron lifts his spear - and with practiced ease, slices clean through the Sirenâs neck. A single, fluid motion.
Dorian exhales a skeptical breath. "Since when does he play the hero?"
Drakon suppresses a laugh, clearing his throat. "Who ever knows with him."
Alexos nods slowly, eyes still closed, a faint smile touching his lips.
You blink. The spell breaks. And before you is him. Zephiron.
His real face. His real eyes. His real mouth.
He leans closer. Youâre still dazed - floating in that aftertaste of something dreamlike.
But his voice drags you back. Sharp. Clear. Inevitable.
âExpect me tonight.â A smile plays on his lips - mischief and promise in equal measure. âIâll show you how it feels to have your longing answered.â
Oh, Gods.
---
Zephyra.
Snow-white hair. Ice-blue eyes. Thereâs no question. Itâs her.
And for some reason, a soft hum escapes you. Dreamlike.
