re-reading an old uber-xena fic from circa 2000, set at the then far-future 2020 election, so of course there's lots of fun guesses about the future that are way off (leaving aside the pandemic because obviously)
in the story, most tech accepts voice commands - as long as they're concluded with your PIN for authentication. Anyone who knows your code can take over everything because they only match the code, not the voice print. Terrible security!
