A high pain tolerance is a mixed blessing. On the one hand, I can function through shit that would incapacitate most people. Which is great, because I have been gifted a body that experiences a lot of shit that would incapacitate most people!
On the other hand, I have absolutely no way to tell if an injury is actually truly not that bad or if Iām just automatically tuning out the pain. Which is not great, because I very well could be making the injury much much worse if I guess wrong. š¤·
