So, I have been very slow the last few weeks on getting anything done (due to lack of motivation and then getting pounded in the face by a really bad cold that I’m still not over) but I haven’t put up art in a tragically long time so here you go. It’s a week out of date tbh, but I only managed to get one sketch done for this week’s episode and I didn’t get these up in time for the last one so I’m going in order.
During the previous NaCl D&D session (as in, last week’s,) our warlock decided that a simple pizza-making competition wasn’t spicy enough for him, so he instead chose to try sabotaging the other side. This ended up turning what should have been at max a 30-minute part of the session into an hour and forty minutes of watching people beat up on each other and no pizzas being made. It finally ended with the warlock and two of the opposing team who were instrumental in the fight getting put in “baby jail” on another plane for the rest of the round so that we could move on in the next session.
So here’s a sketch from the end of the session of said warlock being unceremoniously booted back to the Prime Material plane through a portal and into a mud puddle.
So, following the fan art I did involving the Bards from NaCL DnD, I did some other stuff, before getting here. But here I am with an attempt at drawing the two fighters on the team with a supernatural ally backing them. I didn’t mean to start a theme where I draw characters with some commonality, when I first drew the bards, but damned if I’m not going on that path now.
Lei, a Paladin and Zareem (Played by @ escorian escorian, a Warlock. Light and Dark, Ying and Yang. Tortle and Aasimar. Lawful Good (I think Lei was LG??? A quick up and up on that?) and Chaotic Neutral.
When drawing them, I tried to use both @littlemissgeek8 and Neal-Akuma’s designs in mind. Also, sorry Ghost, I don’t know if you have a tumblr or not ; u ;;;;;
Wings were a pain, but worth it = u = Also drawing a Tortle, who lost his shell, but had armor set in place was a ton of fun to try out : )
The first sketch for this week’s NaCl D&D episode (and the only one I have finished at the moment due to not having much time to draw lately.) At the end of this week’s session, after a grueling 2-hour irl battle against Edan, he finally fell unconscious. Our warlock, however, decided that the thing he felt like doing at that point was poking Edan’s unconscious body because “it would be funny” (even if it’s only funny to him.) What happened next was two failed death saves and our paladin and my bard both trying to pull him away from our near-death friend. Those attempts failed, so Jemima pulled out her Shame Knife to try to get his attention off of Edan for a minute, but her attack roll was terrible and she missed wildly.
That is, until Edan got revived by our Ranger (who was hunting for his owlbear that Edan had stuffed underground during the fight) and Edan gave her a hand at stabbing Zareem. Technically they should all be sitting or crouched on the floor (including Edan who i picture basically having sat up and helped before getting knocked out again) but i was like “screw legs” when i was drawing it so y’all can just pretend. XD
I really meant to get this up yesterday, I really did, but headaches and streaming and just not being able to get away from things meant I ended up not getting it up. So, instead of making you wait until tomorrow with no art, here’s a sketch from last week’s NaCl D&D episode that didn’t make it to the videos.
Our warlock (who now has some levels in sorcerer thanks to his magic “get out of death semi-free” coin activating a few weeks ago) has discovered lately that his spells trigger wild magic surges. Which means a lot of fun (or not so fun, depending) magic surges, one of which last session was his hair falling out for 24 hours. Then he cast levitate on himself with a wild magic surge, and finally ended up accidentally turning himself into a potted plant. Our group pretty much unanimously decided he became a Chia Pet (look it up if you’re unfamiliar) so here’s a floating, bald Chia Pet Zareem for your viewing pleasure.

Sorry about the lateness of this sketch, it’s been hard to get moving today, but I wanted to get this up before it got too late. During the last NaCl D&D episode, we spent most of the time exploring some passages underneath a castle which turned out to be full of dangerous traps. One of those traps our bard/fighter Gineye found the hard way by walking into it and nearly getting skewered on some spikes at the bottom. Thankfully he was able to save himself with his ability to make ropes and basically hung from the ceiling like Spider-Man.
Zareem and Jemima could probably have waited for him to pull himself out of the pit before jumping over, but y’know, it’s more fun this way. Besides, it let Jemima use her +10 to acrobatics which was more than a little fun. XD
Welp, last sketch for this week’s NaCl D&D episode (since i didn’t get one done that I wanted to do, thanks to feeling yucky recently). Our aasimar warlock, Zareem, is not exactly the best choice for decision making. Specifically, this week’s episode saw him selling 6/7ths of his soul (ie, his hit dice) to a primordial tarrasque in exchange for a staff of power. Yes, the staff is massively OP especially for a 7th level party, but the whole “selling your soul for power” has not exactly been making him a popular person in the group. One of these days he’s absolutely going to do something fatal and I hope it doesn’t take the rest of the party with him.
Last sketch from this week’s NaCl D&D episode. Our Aasimar Warlock, Zareem, was somewhat less than happy that we weren’t getting to do any combat that session because all he wanted to do was fight something. Unfortunately, the tournament we’re currently in isn’t really that kind of tournament, and we left off on a cliffhanger for the actual combat portion, so... yeah XD He was not exactly a happy camper.
