After that I start preparing for my trip, I bring my lockpicks and my reversible cloak as well as my bow just in case,along with other miscellaneous items to help with traveling. I do stop by vinsky’s to get all the info which has details about when and where to meet but no details for what the person looks like besides a description of the bow they will be carrying. “ it is as dark as night light as air, but requires so much strength to wield.“vinsky says "not giving me much to go on are you?” I ask. “ How much you’re getting paid we can't have it be easy.” he replies. I expected it to be hot but the heat never reached me, but the ice slowly started to melt with several inches of ice around my leg this was going to take awhile but as I waited I started to doze off.
I woke up several hours later with the ice gone and my leg in the fire but my flesh wasn’t burning or even in pain. I would even say it was plesant. But before i could ponder about it zad walked in so i had to yank my leg out quickly. He sees the leg out the ice and smiles" thank goodness i was worried that your leg would never thaw out" zad said happily. I respond “ you are not that powerful as a sorcerer at least not yet.” he glares at me.“ but may be that strong some day” I continue. Listen zad I’m going to be leaving for a little bit and can you help out here in my stead.“ “Why do you have to go” he asks. “a friend of mine who lives in the capital is in trouble and im going to help him get out of there. But don’t tell anyone about this.” i explain “Ok but you’ll owe me when you get back” zad says with a smirk. “when do you leave?”
“In a couple days is what I’m expecting. Don’t know how long I will be there. ” I say with a sigh “But the pay he is offering to help him is good so i couldn’t refuse.”
“ How much is he paying you?” you ask curiously.
“More than enough to motivate me to do it. ” i answer quickly realizing i let that slip.

“You the best. I forgot how funny you were.” I responded sassily “But it sounds like you are right you need the best and that would be me. I’ll be ready in three days think they can keep alive until then.” Visky looks at my leg “You sure three days will be enough? “he said with a hint of concern. "Have I ever failed where I said I could do something?” I remind him who he is dealing with. “I’ll be ready to leave in three days. Have all the information regarding the mission ready by then.” I headed home and started up a fire. This is a bad idea I think to myself. But it will be the quickest way to get my leg out. So I plung my leg into the fire.

" The job is getting an associate of the client out of magnimar and back here without being followed where we will then fake his death and set him up somewhere far away to live happily ever after..... or not I don't really care so long as we get paid" He says with a shrug " But apparently he is wanted by some men who are bad even by our standards so we need our best on it and immediately thought I don't want to do it so let's get zanfire"

Visky was surprised to say the least one i got there “ i heard of a cold shoulder but not a frozen leg.” He laughs at his own joke. “Anyway how did you pull that off.” I start to explain “ i was doing some special training to help me avoid magical issues and i went left instead of going right.” Visky looked surprised “how around here can you practice against magic? there are no spellcasters in this area that are that powerful to completely encase the leg like this as far as i know and i know quite abit.” He asked. I respond by saying “we all have our secrets this is one of mine.” Visky looked like he was going to argue but apparently changed his mind. “ just thought I’d let you know I am going to take some time off while I thaw” I tell him. “Well whenever you get back i have a job only you can do no deadline but i want to get paid so thaw quickly” he replies. I ask “how much is this job paying?” He answers “10 platinum pieces is your cut.“

"So we have two options shatter the ice and risk injury to your leg or wait for it to thaw and you slow down for a little while " swifthand says. "Slow It is!" I repond "I quite like my leg intact even if it is encased in ice. It's not like i can't walk around I'm just slow." Swifthand replies "I'm suprised the slow safe option is the one you pick! Good for you!" I shrug off the remark and start limping out the door "I'm going to tell my friends about this so they don't wonder what's going on?" Zad says " I'll go with you." "Not this time . I'll introduce you to them later when they won't be making fun of me for my leg." Zad doesn't need to know about that part of my life at least not yet. "But when will that be?" I reply with "Soon but you may not like them they have very abrasive attitudes." He yields "Fine. But I do want to meet them." I end with"In due time my friend."

Zad didn’t notice that I had burst into flames. So i played it off as if he just missed me mostly “if you had your eyes open you could have froze me completely. That would’ve been amazing” “HOW WOULD THAT HAVE BEEN AMAZING? ” he yells. “ YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN FROZEN SOLID! YOU COULD DIE!” I tell him “ A bit of cold won’t kill me and it would be amazing that you could hit me since you know just how quick I am.” Zad rolls his eyes at me. It took a couple days to thaw my leg. We got a stern lecture from Swifthand. “Zanfire you i would expect going along with a reckless idea like this. But zad, this was dangerous why would you do this?” Swifthand asked. “ ” we thought it would help me control my powers better if I used them in a combat like environment" zad responded . “But I got scared when zanfire charged me. So I shut my eyes and blasted ice which froze his leg.” Swifthand says “ So you both had a bad idea then you” pointing at me “ had a worse idea then you” pointing and zad" had an even worse idea.“ At that point i chime in with “In summary we had a stupid off and i won since i have a frozen leg” End of page 14
