summary:

Zack had a crush on you the moment he saw you, thus creating an automatic tension between you two. You thought he hated you, due to lack of conversation and simple courtesies, such as eye contact. You planned to confront him about it.

"Zack!" you call as you enter the bone room. "I need to speak with you."

"Did you find something?" he asks, not even looking up from the femur he's examining.

"It's not about the case." you lean against the examination table with a sigh.

"Then it isn't relevant." he sets the leg bone down and reaches for another. You grab his hand to stop him and he pulls back automatically, almost like you shocked him.

"It is. It's about us." you say, stuffing your hands in your pockets, embarrassed about his disgust in you touching him.

He furrows his brow before asking, "What do you mean us? We don't have a relationship outside of being colleagues."

"Exactly." you look down. "I don't want it to be that way, Zack. I want to be friends," you look back up at him. "and more importantly, I just want to know why you hate me so much."

His eyebrows raise in surprise and he momentarily sputters for a response. "Hate you? I don't hate you." he makes eye contact for the first time in... you don't even know if he's looked you in the eyes before.

"Then why do you act like it?"

"I-" he looks away for a second l, trying to conjure up his words. "I have affection toward you." he can't bring himself to meet your eyes again.

This time it was your turn to raise your brows. "What?"

"That's why I try to avoid you. I want to keep a professional relationship. I don't think I would be able to control myself if we become friends. I would only want to become more." he continues to look at his hands that rest on the table.

You move around the corner of the table, closer to him, before saying, "Why didn't you tell me? What would be the big deal if... we did start a romantic relationship?" he looks at you again, hope in his eyes.

"I don't want the quality of our work to be tainted by having a significant other around."

"What about Hodgins and Angela? Do you think their work is compromised?" you couldn't like that you liked him too... and the pressure of pushing those feelings down has released all at once at the knowledge that he likes you back.

"Well, no, but-"

Ok before you read any further, warning: SPOILERS for Season 11 Episode 22 of Bones. Aka “The Nightmare Within the Nightmare”.

I just finished watching the episode last night at 11 PM.  I kept pausing the dang thing because I didn’t want it to end. And now I’m over here watching it again because I”m so mad, so in distress, so dfkjshkdfjshkdfdsf that I can’t even comprehend.

Ok I love serial killers.  Love them all from Bones.  I’m ISTJ, I don’t get many feelings over people. I have no emotion, so to say.  Every episode of Bones has never effected me ever.  Blood, gore, decapitated bodies?  Yep, love it.  Serial killers? Yes, please! The Gravedigger, Pelant, and now this Puppeteer?  Yessssss.  

Ok for one, the frickin’ Puppeteer lives with his victims. What the heck? And grooms them?  He hopes that this dead victim will be a “mother” and try and convince him not to kill others?  Ironic, there....

And now these nightmares for Bones?  Omgosh.  Nothing gets Bones.  You devout Bones fans know all of that.  I’ve never seen her so scared in my entire life.  Even with the Gravedigger she wasn’t afraid so badly--with Pelant, too.  But this Puppeteer is so getting to her, because she secretly knows something is up with this specific killer.  Her nightmares are showing all that.  Burned victims?  “You’d be so proud of me”.  Um, who does that sound like???  Dying over here.

Nothing really scares me in Bones.  Nothing.  But frickin’ clown puppets do, ok.  So here I was freaking out about the whole entire thing and now these clown puppets come on?  

Then I’m thinking the Psych was the bad guy (he turned off her phone, ok????) but then no.  BURNED HANDS.  Who had burned hands????  Devout Bones fans will know this off the top of their hand, as I am one. ZACK OK IT’S ZACK. 

Then why the heck was Bones at the lab alone??  Disaster to happen right there.  The, “You sent us an email saying to meet you at the Founding Fathers” nearly made me keel over.  I was freaking out at this point though I was freaking out already since minute one.

Booth running to the Psych center in the dead of night, raining, was legit just the perfect scene.  He KNEW.  I mean, after 8 seasons, tons of years, you kinda forget things, right?  No. He knew.  The second the idea of Zack was brought up, yeah, he knew it was him.  And guess what, IT WAS. 

“Dr. Brennan, it is good to see you again. You and I...we have so much to talk about.”

WHAT THE HECK. Ok, Zack looks like a complete psycho, which is understandable since he kinda lived in a psycho place for years and years. And he WAS an assistant to a cannibalistic serial killer.  But I always figured he was good at heart. I mean, 3 seasons as this cute little intern kid?  And now he’s BACK after 8 seasons?

Just saying, I have no idea how I am going to be able to wait until April.  And there’s only 12 episodes in the final season 12.  You can’t conclude everything in 12 episodes! I don’t want it to end in 12 episodes!

I thought the Zack returning thing was just a spoiler the internet threw out there.  But NO. He’s HERE he’s BACK. WHAT THE HECK.
