i’m not sure if you watched gladlands but i think about that scene between hugi and aunt freaky so often bc like. yes vb were roleplaying rlly serious topics but that’s not rare for d20 and vic was able to get smth out of brennan that No One Else ever has (on camera) before… like i’ve genuinely never seen him or them that deep in such an emotional scene and they’re some of the best improvisers in the game. it felt way too intimate for what it was. the two of them tap into smth so raw and real together and it’s really easy to see how that would translate in a kink scenario if you’re a freak like me… idk sorry just realizing there is not a question in this ask lol but all this to say, i think that visceral exploration of a complicated family dynamic was weirdly where vicbrennan really clicked for me and everything you’ve got going on on this blog backs that up sooo keep up the good work. they’re insane
ANON YOU GET IT!!!! i will admit that i haven't watched a lot of d20 outside of gladlands, but i have heard multiple times that vic brought out something special in brennan so obviously i'll believe that. it was SO intimate. the entire campaign is so intimate between the two of them. everyone's characters and arcs are fantastic but brennan seems pretty focused on oscar and vic specifically, and even within the two of them a lot of the storytelling seems to revolve around vic/hugi. hugi is such a deeply personal character for vic; not only are they exploring their grief around their mom's death less than a year out, hugi also has so many traits that scream vic to me. the dedication to their family & urge to take care of everyone around them and obscure their own needs, namely. it had to have taken a huge amount of trust in brennan for them to be comfortable telling that story with him. and they said that the only reason they were comfortable being in the dome was because he was gming!!!
obviously i agree with you about their roleplaying easily translating to a kink setting. they are both such deeply intense people in absolutely anything they do. family dynamics are something that they both have a very complex relationship with, and i think they could be reaaally really interesting explored in a kink setting. to work things out, as a form of catharsis, and also. just because it's hot. vic is questionable about incest at best ... i've seen the way they talk to brennan, they want to call him dad(dy) for sure
