Knocking before entering a room? None of them really give MC a choice in the matter.

Pierrot, the lovesick puppy he is just barges in when he gets the urge to see his beloved. He doesn't like closed doors keeping you away from him.

Harlequin knows it's polite to knock before entering. But he prefers to sneak in as quietly as possible, waiting for you to be startled at his sudden presence.

Ticket Taker is probably the only one who actually knocks before entering. He doesn't wait for a "come in" but he at least is courteous enough to let you know he's there.

Doctor doesn't knock. If he needs to find you for some reason, he will. Knocking is an unnecessary extra step.

With an obsession like protection, while being unable to contact anyone he knows and loves, it seems impossible for him to ever regain enough strength.

He spends most of his time sleeping, allowing himself to drift through the blurry world as his ecto slowly replenishes, but since his human half digests most of his progress to stay alive, he's not getting any energy at all.

That is, until he enters Gotham. He's pushed back to conciousness by the weight of all of its trapped emotions, and the complete turmoil the city had been cast into. (Or just cause Lady Gotham, if that's your thing)

It's like torture for him. He can't leave, because of all these desperate souls he feels the need to protect, but there's nothing he can do to protect them. He's forced to watch the city fall to ruin, doing his best to ignore time passing him by.

Finally, one day, Batman becomes his saviour. He's a shining beam of hope through Gotham's doom and gloom. Danny follows him home without even realising it.

"Install windows 11, girl?" No thanks not interested "wanna install it now or later?" I don't want to install it at all. "Now or later pick one"

theres no option for "no" anywhere. it's all so fucking creepy. Or like, the entire tech sector's attitude with generative content! the rhetoric is entirely "this is going to happen to you so you might as well lean back and take it" like get the FUCK off of me! this shit is almost literally word for word!

nothing will take no for an answer, everything insists on making you say yes or different yes, there's no concern for what you want or what agency you possess.

like god fucking DAMN. I don't call it rapey idly or for shock value either. I think that it is legitimately replicating abusive patterns of agency denial. I think that rape is about power and dehumanization in the exact same way all this tech garbage is, and it's fucking infuriating to sit down at my goddamn computer that I own and be subjected to it in my fucking house.
