yes!!!!! i like to picture that reader with provider!pope is either the older sibling that takes care of everyone or the middle child that isn’t paid any attention to!!!! you’re never anyone’s first thought, not even a second thought. you remember everyone’s favorite snacks and meals and drinks and their way to do things.

and when you first get with pope, you expect it to be that way too. you learn to be attentive to him, learn his quirks and how he likes things. but he surprises you.

it’s the smallest of things. not even BIG. he remembered your coffee order. which, again, big fucking deal!!! it’s just coffee!! but you’d never have someone pay attention to you like that. you’re in COMPLETE shock!!!!!!!!! you shrug it off as a one off though, since you’re not used to it.

and then he keeps doing it. he knows the snacks you like, he knows the color of clothing you prefer for your skin tone, the beauty products you use, even the toothpaste that works for your sensitive teeth. when he starts spending his money on you???? you’re upset at first. anything he gets you, you leave at his place too, you don’t feel okay with taking it out of his home.
