It was revealed earlier today that Shin Hyunjoo had terminated his trainee contract with TNT’s label, Alpha Records, after a small disagreement about promotions and training time. Hyunjoo had just recently placed 7th on MNet’s Idol Project 3, and while he did not make the final group, he was a notable contestant and a fan favorite.
It seems as though he was more than a fan favorite too; Dispatch sources reveal that it didn’t take long for other agencies to make him offers, though in the end, the trainee signed with Radioactive Entertainment, home of Empire and Reign, as well as Idol Project finalists, Kang Mirae and Sean Ho. Fans have been speculating for a long time that Radioactive is prepping to debut another boy group, and that has been backed by the increased promotion and exposure of fellow trainee, Zheng Yu Chen. Shin Hyunjoo would theoretically make a very strong addition to any potential group, though as of right now, it was all speculation. Either way, fans cheered on Hyunjoo’s decision, wishing him the best of luck at his new company.
