First of all, the Preceptors don’t exist. The Xianzhou Alliance still does, but it is either smaller with the Vidyadhara only as loose allies, or the Vidyadhara founded them and they have a different governance than in canon.

The Sedition isn’t a thing. Let’s just say Dan F/Heng brought Yingxing to “a venerated Elder” and completely coincidentally people found out Yingxing was a lost Vidyadhara. Definitely. No aeonic bullshittery here. Just one of the “rare cases” of a hatchling disappearing and being found again.

The position of “High Elder” or whatever Dan Feng was gets juggled between multiple incarnations, so Dan F/Heng can still be a Nameless. (Maybe have it be an unofficial tradition for Vidyadhara (especially their leaders) to travel the galaxy for a break and to not fall behind the times.

The Vidyadhara inherited Long!MC’s dislike of the IPC and do not get along with them. Qlipoth, yes - IPC, no. They like making it difficult for them - such as stopping various planetary takeovers and “debt starting/collections”. (I want Boothill’s planet and daughter to survive…)

Long!MC likes lounging on Qlipoth as they build their wall and staring directly into the IPC’s HQ - creeping out even the most cold-blooded and experienced Stoneheart and high-ranking member.

Dan F/Heng is the first Vidyadhara and they slightly overshot how much power to give him. So he’s even more overpowered than in canon. This is the first time they’re a parent and Long!MC will make sure their kids don’t end up hunted and exploited like they did in-game. (…Brooding Long!MC. Like a chicken.) So the Vidyadhara as a whole end up slightly overpowered. Just a little bit. (Imagine that every Vidyadhara is roughly at the same power-level as Imbibitor Lunae, and Dan F/Heng is at a minimum double that. Long!MC doesn’t regret a thing, cooing over their precocious hatchlings.)

Long!MC’s Vidyadhara form is an open secret that nobody outside their scions know of. Except some of the aeons. I say… Akivili and Aha definitely. Akivili because Long!MC visited some of their scions that were currently members of the Nameless, Aha because they like bothering other aeons and probably came across Long!MC when they shifted into a more humanoid form. Or Aha was making fun of Long!MC for not “being able to visit their scions” in a city or whatever and Long!MC decided that it would be funny.

(I say that Long!MC curls up around their kith and kind when sleeping, and visiting aeons are not safe. As both Akivili and Aha found out on separate occasions.)

Hmm… maybe the wider universe still thinks Long!MC is dead? Have it be the History Fictionologists fault. The Vidyadhara think it’s the funniest thing ever and get into debates WITH Long!MC about whether “their aeon” is dead or “just missing”. Long!MC argues that “THEY” are dead, whilst the Vidyadhara is adamant that “Long is just missing”. This argument happens weekly, more so in front of visitors.

Have the Herta Station try and convince Dan F/Heng to take part in some tests “since their aeon isn’t around to help them anymore”, and Long!MC is drinking tea in the background with the blankest face ever.

Which also, I LOVE the idea of the Vidyadhara being in on the know about him 'not' being dead but playing along.

like what do you mean they straight up wanted to kill dan feng, a leader of a race that literally cannot reproduce and thus has a very finite population? what do you mean they imprisoned dan heng for the crimes of dan feng when, by vidyadhara law, he should should not be held accountable for the actions of his past incarnation? (thank you caelorum venti for not letting the xianzhou kill daniel)

All this stems from the fact that they can be reborn male or female.
