"have you seen a pink handheld with a cat charm on it? i've been trying to find it for the past half hour..." they trailed off eyes sliding off the person infront of them to skim the ground, hoping to find said item.
mabel’s not quite sure what to do with themself this late at night. sure, there’s a million options. and sure, they could go to sleep but that’s just a coward’s way out of dealing with boredom. they’ve never been good with boredom. instead, they lull their head back to look at the other person in the room, scrunching their nose. “any quick tips for avoiding late night boredom?”
location: hardware store on the asteroid
time of day: up to player
Adyson is naturally quick on her feet; it's just how things work when you spend your whole life on those feet. You get quick about using them. She's good at the logistical part of organization, the money and the direction, but before she was good at that, she was good at the physical side. Building stages from the ground up, carrying lumber in from the supply, using power tools before her hands were quite big enough for them. She gets the desire from time to time to just start building again.
Which is how she ended up in the hardware store, looking for anything and everything she could possibly need to build herself a bookcase. She's already installed two groupings of floating shelves in the kitchen. It's time to look for a bigger project, just to keep her hands busy; they're always at a stressful part of some campaign, and when she's stressed, she needs to move her hands. She's always moving. She and rest don't really agree much.
She's combing through different drill bits to find the ones she needs still for her hand drill, but the store isn't especially well organized. She's just turned the corner to look at the end cap when she almost runs into another person. “Oh sorry! You can go first,” she says, hand gesturing toward the bits she was trying to look at.
