“My love, are you alright? Come.” He spoke softly yet with worry laced within his words.

His arms enveloping around you delicately, he brung you over to a nearby chair. Letting you sit down while he took a knee in front of you. Your fingers curled into loose fists as they covered your eyes. Slowly but with a gingerly motion, he took your hands down. One of his coming up to cup your right cheek. A smile blooming on his hopeful face.

“My dear, whatever is troubling you, I promise I will do whatever in my power to make you feel better than how you are now. You don’t have to talk to me about it now．．．Right now, I’ll stay by your side for as long as I can.”

Afterwards, he spends the rest of the day by your side. Giving you plenty of attention while also hearing you out on your difficulties. Promising he’ll make them better along the way.

While you knew Easthies wasn’t done for the day. He was probably having a better day than you were. Everything went wrong. Accidentally making one line in your spell longer than it should be. Causing an accident that immediately backfired towards you, buying the wrong ingredient at the market which was similar to the one you were supposed to get, and to top it all off, you barley got enough sleep （which you were scolded by Easthies when he found out.）

You walked around, looking for him quietly to avoid any other side quests that may come your way. Potentially ruining your day more than what it already was, you felt a warm hand on your shoulder. Immediately turning around to see whom you were looking for, and without thinking before acting, your hands wrapped around him. Your head on his shoulder. Easthies reacted faintly, his hand moving off your shoulder and both enveloping around your waist. One coming up behind your head.

“My love—“

“Are you able to dismiss your duties early for the day？I feel like I’m reliving a nightmare without any control over it．．．I can wait a little if you need a little more time？“

Sensing your distress, he took his hand from your head dosn to cup your cheek with his cold but delicate hand. The crystal — like cover over your eyes told him more than enough. Tilting his head a little downward, he kissed your sugary — laced lips slowly. It were these moments that could stop time for the both of you. Wishing for more time was something both of you reached your hand out for.

“Of course, my apologies for not being there beside you sooner. I’ll let the others know. I’m right here．

The rain attacked the grown while flew above. While it was good to fly above the clouds to avoid the rain, you could see the atelier not far from here as you descended. Qifrey knew that you paid a visit once in a while to his atelier while Olruggio was here. Therefore, you opened the door and closed it in time before walking towards Olruggios space he’d claimed in the cozy atelier.

Opening the door despite the obvious fact that Olruggio wasn’t really fond of people coming in, you walked up the steps before meeting eye contact with his deep ocean blue eyes. You took off your cloak before meeting his embrace. Your clothes were wet, your face was in a dark cloud of blues.

“Sorry for not waiting, I just needed to see you. It’s been raining all day and it’s been weighing me down. I feel disheveled right now.”

You let out a long, heavy sigh. Pulling away even though you wanted more. For a second you were soaked, now you felt as if the water molecules from your clothes lifted off the cotton that absorbed it. Looking up to see Olruggio already using his link rings to dry you. It was a pain seeing you drenched with a sulking frown.

“There we go. Sorry for not assisting you earlier, my love. Since the rain seems to have no conclusion for when it’ll stop, you can stay by my side.”

Giving a lingering kiss on your forehead, you spent the time close beside him while the rain was a faint background noise that lulled you to a wave of serene. Olruggio giving you plenty of small but affectionate attention along the way.

you were yet again the victim of another prank as you walked through your little home. the kids had left a floating drop spell right above the front door ─ leaving you completely drenched the moment they let the water go free.

you couldn’t help but sigh as the water soaked through your clothes, ruining the grocery bags as well.

you loved them, really, but sometimes you just wanted some peace, like today for example. you weren't really in the mood to indulge in their mischief behavior.

it was those kind of moments that made you miss your husband more than you would have thought. but as a knight moralis, easthies didn't come as often as you wanted him to ─ and who were you to blame him when you were the one to leave the great hall in the first place ?

anyway.

with the help of rings your friend, Olruggio, had made a while ago, you dried yourself of all the water clinging to your skin, wrapping your shoulders with a shall to keep you from getting sick. as you settled the bags over the counter, you decided that it was best to ignore the kids giggling somewhere in the atelier, to keep your mind occupied on something else.

however, it seemed that you were too engrossed in your thoughts because you hadn't heard the windowway open, or the way the kids went suddenly quiet when they saw the newcomer. 

you merely had the time to register what was happening when a pair of arms snaked around your waist, startling you. a warm and rich honeyed laugh that you could recognize among a thousand echoed in your ear as you turned  around, eyes blown wide open. 

“easthies ! ” the room seemed to be brighter, warmer now that you were reunited with your one and only.

you instantly threw your arms around his neck, hugging him like your life depended on this simple action. and even if display of affection wasn’t his preferred area, his touch was still so delicate, full of love as he cradled your face between his palms.

and somewhere in the atelier, the kids watched their master and their husband being all lovey-dovey with false disgust. “oh they are so in love.”
