Home, with his mother and sister, will always remain Simonβs favorite place to be. His room is still largely the same; the poster of New York still hangs above his bed, and he still has a keyboard and a guitar here. He still uses the same covers he slept under when he was 16. Thereβs still the lava lamp that he used to stare at before bed, wondering about the future.Β
The only thing thatβs changed is the fish tank; it stands dark and empty, the fish having died a long time ago.
For the first time in a few hours, Simon checks his phone again. It turned out that laughing and playing games with his family is a great way to forget about Wille, or the lack of Wille, for a bit. But the last message he sent is still the last one in their thread.Β

Simme.eriksson: Hey! Are you alright? I havenβt heard from you all day, and just wanted to make sure youβre okay.Β
He doesnβt say βI miss youβ (even though part of him wants to), but just lets him know that heβs here for him if he needs anything. Heβs definitely worried now; Wille has never been silent for this long, and something just feels off. If Simon had Willeβs phone number, he would call him, but thereβs nothing he really can do.Β
