Went to Ypres today. Here's the medieval cloth halls.
Well, I say medieval as it was originally built in the 13th century, but it was destroyed in the first world war. So they rebuilt the whole thing medieval style.
Here's a hint to that.
#I just think it's neat they have a little soldier up where you'd usually spot a saint#Belgium#Ypres#also apparently the British were against rebuilding and wanted to keep it all as a ruin#the Ypres museum is fun kids get a bracelet that activates games#and they have to spot cats#double fun fact Ypres is also the city of cats#lots of cat themed things going on very cute#it's called the city of cats because they used to chuck live ones off a tower#also disappointingly little info on fabric production sadly
