Despite the tone of this ask, I'm going to be as clear as I possibly can. I am pro holding yourself accountable for the experiences you have online.

I am pro knowing that media and the things presented by it, are usually fictional, whether that be problematic relationships or super happy fluffy ones.

I am pro knowing that some people are going to like things that I don't like, such as shipping characters that I do not ship or condone.

For example, do I know that people ship Tony Stark and Peter Parker? Yes.

Do I ship Tony Stark and Peter Parker? No.

Do I actively go out of my way to tell these people that I dislike their ship? No.

I mind my own business, block the content I don't like to see, and leave them alone.

The list of things I don't condone under any circumstances are pedophilia and incest. That being said, if someone ages a character up, then that is their business to do. I don't see anything wrong with it because it's fiction.

Do I think that fiction doesn't affect reality, of course not. It can and does. However, writers and the creators of content produce for the purposes of entertainment are not responsible for curating your online experience.
