Sometimes the only healthy and safe thing to do is sever all relationship with a toxic unsafe person. It can be hard and very heavy at first. In the long run, both may have better lives with "no contact". Yesterday, I chose to sever all relationship with a family member who felt looking at me with unadulterated hate while spitting in my face was acceptable. I called the police, gave the option of leaving or having charges pressed, and the severing all contact. This is permanent. Their act toward me was the final proof of total inability to be in familial relationship. May this person have all that is needed for life. That life will be without me.
