I personally follow HIPPA ethical guidelines in my practice. I don't share any confidential or identifying info about my clients. I take notes using shorthand and was trained to use initials when referring directly to clients in notes. I also write and keep notes on my laptop, but they're saved to a local folder on that device specifically, so they aren't cloud-acessible
