To be fair you try really hard to not give him any, but one look of his puppy eyes and you can’t say no.

MEANING Caleb has to step up as gege and make sure you don’t sneak Zayne any candy. Even though Zayne is giving him the biggest boba eyes, Caleb will refuses to give him any. (He also mentions how Zayne should listen to his parents because if he doesn’t listen then neither will he.)

So you three have a sleepover, (which is common in my hc) and you’re knocked out but Caleb hears some noises from outside the room you’re all sleeping in. He decides to protect the house so he grabs his baseball bat and creeps over to the source of the noise. Cue in Zayne who’s eating some cheesecake from the fridge and crying whilst eating it. (Out of guilt, cavity pain, and happiness of the taste of cheesecake.)

Caleb ends up stunlocked by the site, and drops the bat alerting Zayne. Thus the night ends with small young didi Caleb scolding gege Zayne. And Zayne sleeping between you and Caleb so he doesn’t sneak out again. (Caleb arm wraps around Zayne to still reach you.)

Here's a post-war snippet of a Caleb memory I don't think I've shared yet.

Sitting on one of the bar stools, Caleb watches Ned work.  “D’you think I’ll ever tend bar here, Ned?”

Ned turns towards him, a ready smile on his lips, a sparkle in his green eyes.  “Aye, lad, if that’s what you want,” he agrees.  “But you’ve got the whole world before you.”  He reaches over to ruffle the gangly teen’s hair; Caleb squirms, laughs in protest, and finally pulls free.  “You know Nan would’ve wanted to you to do whatever makes you happy.”

Caleb nods, propping his chin on his hand as his elbow rests on the counter.  It’s quiet in the pub – still an hour or more before business will kick up for the evening and a bit longer still before he’ll be expected to play.  “Maybe… I could go to school for piano?  Nan’d have liked that.”

“Aye, she would’ve, but like I said,” Ned rounds the end of the counter and braces both hands on Caleb’s shoulders, turning him to so they are face to face.  Already, he is as tall as Ned if not taller, but he still has some filling out to do.  “She wanted you to do what you wanted.  Find your own way.  That would have made her happiest.”

Two years on, the sadness still lingers in Ned’s eyes; the same sort that Caleb keeps locked away from others where it can hurt no one but him.  Venturing a smile, he scrunches his nose at his adoptive father.  “I will, Ned, I promise.  But," he adds, hopefulness shining in his expression, "maybe in the meantime teach me a bit about how to make drinks?”

Ned throws his head back and laughs as he returns behind the bar.  “A little bit of everything, is that the way of it, lad?”

Caleb nods.  “Aye, that way I’m ready for just about anything…” Just about anything…

Zayne who loved in a weeks ago has been getting along great with Caleb. So Caleb decides to introduce Zayne to his ‘meimei’ (sister). Caleb leads Zayne into the woods and starts telling him how amazing and beautiful you are, but for some reason keeps mentioning how he’s not allowed to mention his name to her.

Once they get to the center of the woods there’s a small mushroom circle. Caleb smiles yelling out your name, leaving some small honey candies near the circle, and yelling about how gege has a new friend for you to meet. Then Zayne hears a small bell ringing as a small ball of light appears hurriedly circling around Caleb excitedly. It then circles around Zayne excitedly and he looks at Caleb confused. As he does he turns back around to look at the light to see you!!

You have wings on your back and look younger than both of them, you laugh mischievously and run up to Caleb and hug him. As soon as you ask Caleb who’s the stranger, the two boys make eye contact. Caleb just answers “a new friend.” And Zayne avoids the question of his name.

You guys end up playing in the woods having fun before it gets dark and the two leave. Zayne and Caleb continue to coming to the woods to play with you.

Caleb makes sure Zayne never tells you his name because Caleb is greedy and wants only his name to be yours. (As Caleb gets closer to Zayne he’ll make him say his name to you.)

You drag Zayne happily towards the fast food place.

“Trust me Zayne it’s gonna be really good.” Zayne grimaces a bit.

“I don’t really like fast food though.. especially not a burger place.” You cut him off and drag him to the Cashier, Zayne gasps and begins to smirk.

“Hello welcome to-“ Caleb was about to start his usual greeting but paused looking at the both of you. He rolls his eyes and grits his teeth.

“Welcome. How can I take your order.” Hes doing a very toothy and fake smile at both of you. Zayne has now immediately caught onto your plan, you immediately begin.

“I wannnnnttttttt, hmmmmmmmmmm…. 2 milk shakes uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, 2 cookies no wait hmmmmmmmmm, actually 3 cookies. And uhhhhh, hmmmm a small fry and a uhh big fry!”

Zayne smiles seeing you purposely delay your speech to annoy him and nods, “And also two ice cream comes, and hmm, an apple pie.” (Zayne tried but felt bad)

Caleb rolls his eyes and Zayne takes out his card to pay, it was a prank but it still was gonna cost you guys in the end. As Caleb smack the receipt in the counter and walks away to prep your order, Zayne notices Caleb put his employee discount and comped some of the items.

That sweet moment did NOTT last long as when he set the plate down where you and Zayne were sitting, looking around to see if anyone is watching. He immediately grabbed the ice cream cones from the plate and took a large bite of each one. He then drank out of both your milk shakes, and grabbed from both of the fry containers dipping the fries into the shake. He eats the fries and grabs a cookie shoving it’s his mouth.

He grabbed a napkin wipes his face crumpled it up and then threw it in a nearby trash can. You both sit there agape and receive a text in your groupchat.

“🍎🍐🍏”

“Thanks for the meal goobers :)”

Okay childhood Zayne Mc Caleb

Young Caleb was fighting random kids in the neighborhood (they were older kids messing with you when you walked home alone once) and while he can usually hold their own these kids called some friends to help sooo baby Caleb was getting his crap rocked 💔💔 And as some kids are piling on him and he’s covering his face he sees the kid on top of him kicked off.

CUE IN YOUNGER ZAYNEEEE (he isn’t a doctor yet sooo the ‘do no harm’ oath ain’t valid yet)

Younger Zayne literally just kicked that random kid and pushes the other kids off of Caleb. (they’re like a year or two younger than him) And he holds up his Apple Watch is like threatening to call his parents and the police if they don’t stop. The other kids immediately SCATTER, and Zayne helps Caleb get home. When Caleb gets home you IMMEDIATELY ARE SOBBING cause your gege got beat tf up.

Caleb hates being seen as weak by you so he’s biting his lip trying to not cry. (Failing) So you end up hugging his side while Zayne patches him up. Then when grandma gets home she finds you and Zayne both hugging Caleb who’s leaning on Mc’s head.

And because he used to share his 3DS with you, he would buy games you specifically liked. He saved up money and bought animal crossing new leaf when it came out since you liked the original wild world versions. And it was amazing you set your house next to his but pretend it was the same house. Even logging into his save file to make yourself a room in his house. (He cheated in a lot of money to fully upgrade both your houses.)

Now there’s one game you both really liked, which was tomogachi life. It was a game originally show to both of you by another child by the name of Zayne. (Wink)

So after you pooled in some money with Caleb you both managed to save enough to buy the game. (Zayne went with you guys to make sure you bought the correct one/didn’t get scammed.) But of course after you got the game, you all had a sleepover.

All three of you giggled along making yourselves for the version you now own. (Zayne is farther in the game, and has already made you and Caleb into his tomogachi life.) It was a super fun night looking through the channels on the Tv and adding in cartoon characters, movie stars, and even the newest boy band!! (To your delight and Caleb’s displeasure)

You all start gasping in excitement when you realize Zayne’s Mii has a crush on someone. You crowd around Caleb very curious about who his Mii could have a crush on, then see it mention your Mii’s name. Zayne flushes in embarrassment, and awkward rambles about how it must be because both characters were added at a similar time. Caleb feels weird about it, not really understanding why it makes it feel so bad seeing a version of Zayne crushing on you. So he presses that Zayne’s Mii should forget about his crush without thinking. Caleb notices that Zayne pursed his lips at the action, so Caleb casually laughs it off as a misclick and they go through the night.

When everyone is asleep Caleb grabs the 3DS and tries to make your Mii’s interact more for a chance that they could fall for each other but they just become best friends nothing more.

The next day you want up excited to play the game just to see that the file wasn’t saved properly so the game was restarted. Huh! Weird, you could swear you saved the game before going with Caleb and Zayne to make a pillow fort.

Well! It doesn’t matter you can always try to start it again with Caleb. But he need to wake up first!! He’s usually the first one awake but he’s sleeping in!! Maybe the sleepover made him very tired who knows..
