@thenamesallison sent a raven: this is so embarrassing. (for dick grayson)
Looking over his shoulder, Dick did a quick recon. Bag? Broken. Contents? Spilled. Culprit? The shelf corner. All in all it wasn't that bad considering the crowded coffee shop was an absolute nightmare to navigate on a good day. In this rain? Not a good day, quickly dipping down to start picking up loose items before they were lost to careless feet.
And if he happened to shoulder check a few of the more willfully oblivious people to stop them from stepping on the girl's fingers that was just being polite. Well not to them, to the girl, who looked a bit miserable. He'd buy he coffee, maybe a muffin. Muffin's made everyone smile, all warm and sweet.
"Hey, hey, no. It happens to the best of us.' A flash of a smile, warm, bright, a beam of pure sunshine and good intention. "I dropped Haley's dog food half way up the stairs and it ripped! Sent kibble everywhere... Had to bring her out to play hoover. Knocked on a few doors and let them know they could let their dogs out too, get it cleaned up faster.'
Holding out everything he'd gathered, he resettled his weight as someone tried to push around him to take his spot. The way they almost fell over eased his irritation on the girl's behalf.
"I'm Dick by the way.' There's a moment of struggle, both hands full but trying to offer one to shake. Eventually he manages to get all the items precariously stacked on one hand looking very pleased with himself, holding out the free hand as he stands both to shake and help her up. "Welcome to Gotham!'
