On another note: All of the drinks that were mentioned in the chapter are real drinks! Haha. The ones I've actually tried are the Slippery Nipple, Lemon Drop and Liquid Orgasm. In college, the only alcohol in our apartment were the ingredients to make Slippery Nipples. Haha. Can't tell you what Liquid Orgasm tasted like...It wasn't the only drink I had that night.

I have been excited to write the New York chapter for quite some time. Nearly as excited as the wedding chapter. I started researching and thinking of all the places that William and Lizzie could go and see.
Then, some months back (I'm going to go with 4), I started talking to one of the readers on here. Yoshinyc in fact. I had noticed her before this though, I'll admit. She always liked the extras in spurts and it amused me.Â
I don't remember the specifics on whether she messaged me first or I messaged her but there's no turning back from that.
Yoshinyc aka Jess and I started talking about various things about the fic. She's a fan and told me how the fic was one way to help her relax from her hectic life. Well, we started talking a lot and it was quickly becoming a favorite part of my day because she's incredibly positive. She then told me that her husband had casually started reading the fic as well. Mainly to see why she was randomly bursting into laughter and why she would get so excited when a new chapter went up. He went from reading it casually to telling me about his excitement on pending chapters (Possibly some scrambling and tripping is now involved on post days too. SORRY NOT SORRY.) Thus was born the main male reader I know (are there more? Hello?)...adayinthelifeofdrcharlie. I didn't realize how badly I needed a male perspective on some things until I started talking to him. I find it to be a lot easier to write about love and commitment from a female perspective...considering I am one. While I feel that I can get into William's head for a lot of important moments, Charlie has really broken things down to another level and that is so incredibly perfect.
As Teresa knows, I can't focus on one chapter at a time. I will jump WAY ahead and start researching for details on future chapters. I mentioned this to Jess. I said I needed to find some type of apartment for Jane and Bing. She offered to do it without hesitation. I was surprised but willingly took the help. I had a vague picture in my head and she went running with it. She signed us up on trulia.com and saved a ton of apartments and wrote a couple notes for me, just in case.Â
I know that some authors and readers don't care about extras but I'm a visual person. I need to see the space of what I'm writing. I was on google maps for ages this chapter. The wedding chapter? Teresa and I actually went to the venue and took pictures. Not INSIDE, mind you...but still. I am a very visual person.
Anyway, we started talking pretty often. Whether it was about the fic or her family (most adorable kids) or whatever. Then Charlie was finally persuaded to tumblr and we started talking as well. I fully consider Jess and Charlie to be my friends now. They are hilarious and caring and incredibly amazing people. Also, they're totally living out William and Lizzie's second choice honeymoon right now. Super jealous but they seriously deserve it. Yea...this is long. You need a break from your television viewing anyway ;)
These two have helped me SO MUCH with The Learning Curve in the past couple months. It's crazy. The best part is that they are just so gracious about it and eager to help at a moment's notice. When they don't have a clear answer for it? They ask their other friends!Â
I owe you guys a debt of gratitude. Everything from the list that you created to your input on certain scenes or helping me online shop for fictional characters, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. It's strange (and yet not) how easily I've made friends with you guys and become closer as the days go by.

Talking with you until the wee hours of the morning about the littlest details has been really fun. I can't find the proper words to express how happy I am that you're my friend. Half of this chapter can be chalked up to your help and your suggestions. You are a truly inspiring person and Charlie is the luckiest man to have you in his life. Thank you for lending your time so willingly to help me shape things to my final satisfaction. I hope you really enjoy this chapter for what it's worth. I can't wait for you to help me with future chapters! Especially since you know more than Charlie does ;)

You seriously have a way with words. Your insight to marriage and family has been refreshing and I honestly can't begin to tell you how much it means to me when you offer to help me. I love that you really take the time to think about your answers never hold back on what it's like to truly love and be loved (Seriously people, he's like a real life William Darcy. It's disgusting how much he loves his wife and family). Thank you immensely and I'm really looking forward to your help in the future. The bachelor party chapter should particularly be fun to write. Haha. You are a wonderful person and friend.
