Yoshiku
Silhouette Image of Kabuki Actor
19th century
You've covered the other two artists who designed FEH's original characters: how about the last one, Yoshiku?
I meant to get to this one too and I got bogged down with stuff today.
Yoshiku was Book 4's artist for the- heck I'm not gonna even try and spell it- Dream realm. And honestly, I really like their artwork as well and I thought that Freyja was the best looking design-wise of the bunch. Not to say the others didn't look great, because Mirabilis is so stinkin' cute and I hate that they gave her thick eyebrows (Great!) but covered them up with her bangs (Not great! Give me those thick eyebrows!). Their coloring is top notch, their anatomy is good, and their pose is pretty strong. They're Sencha but better.
Now one thing I think they could work on is facial expressions. Their portraits for Peony during Book 4 were not very expressive, and in general for all their characters the expressions are... ok. Not good or great, but they're not the worst they could be, either. Also I have some minor issues with how Freyr was drawn, he was kind of baby-faced in his neutral and damage portrait from what we saw; I don't think Yoshiku really specializes in drawing men. I think Sainosuke did better with drawing Freyr with a more mature, adult-like face.
Still no slouch for an artist though, 8/10.
