As sudden as it could be, Mika's phone started to ring this time. Yura thought it could be a joke, after all, there was a strange phone on her hand which she didn't know what to do -- and she was afraid the owner of the mobile could be a ghost or something of the sort. He answered to it and a few minutes later, a unfortunate report was made: He had to return to the company immediately. Yura didn't question the reasons. She was a little sad and confused, she wanted to much to find out what happened in that haunted high school, although no words were spoken from her mouth. Almost in a rush, they returned to the school's entrance and he started to leave. Feeling a bit gloomy inside, Yura stood there without knowing what to do. Luckily -- at least she thought, there was another couple standing outside the building. Yura recognized them. Hoon and Taeyeon. She watched the scene for a while, noticing when Taeyeon started to leave the same way Mika did. Perhaps Hoon was in the same situation as her? In uncertain steps, she walked towards the young male. "Hoon-ssi." She smiled. Before she could start a conversation with him, a new pamphlet was delivered to her by some guy of the staff. She thanked him and scrolled her eyes quickly through the content's, realizing that after Mika and Taeyeon's withdrawal, Hoon was going to be her new partner. "Let's work together to finish this mission!" She raised a fist, her excitement growing lightly all over again.

Sooyoung was shivering lightly as she looked up at the building in front of her. Crew members were walking around, handing out blankets to the participants to stay warm before the mission would actually be starting. She looked around, her eyes finding Minha's quite easily where after she quickly made her way over to the other. "Are you ready?" Her voice was soft, merely a whisper in an attempt to hide the fear running through her system. 

As a clock strikes midnight, and it took only mere moments for the staff members to hand out a small flyer to every couple. She looked at her partner, her head quickly finding its way to the younger's shoulder as she held the folder in front of the both of them, reading the words on it with a small sigh. "Let's go..." She then murmured, grabbing the other's hand with her own. Her palms were somewhat sweaty, yet she still took somewhat confident steps. "Punctured lung... That can be interesting!" 

Hoon thumbed his fingers nervously over the folder in hand. He looked up at the school and gulped down hard, sure he was a decent size guy with large muscles, but that didn't mean that the prospect of the paranormal had no affect on him. He took a deep breath and looked over to Taeyeon.  "Where do you think we should start?" he tilted his head slightly looking at her, drawing in the dirt with his shoe. "Did you have an idea of where you want to go, or should we choose randomly?" 

An exasperated sigh left Suhoon’s lips, but he made sure no one else would hear. Bothersome. When he had signed up for this show with Dahee, he had known it would be work, of course, but he had imagined it to be fun and relaxing, and not walking through creepy haunted schools in search of clues. But work was work, and as he knew himself, he’d enjoy it in the end, just not right now, not when the tension in the air got to him and the darkness and cold wind made him feel like he was in one of those animes he’d watched or those games Jay liked to play.   

When the couples were announced, his lips formed a small smile, hardly visible but clearly there. Although he hadn’t talked to anyone much before, every other cast member he’d met had seemed nice, so he was defintiely alright with doing the mission with Yura. It was still going to be stressful and he was not really looking forward to possibly dying from a heart attack, but he might as well have someone else with him while he did. At least the last thing he’d see would be a pretty girl then, not some ugly ghost.

Seeming as uninterested as always, he looked through the folder they were handed with a creased brow. It appeared like the kid had committed suicide by jumping off the roof. Bothersome. That meant they probably had to walk all the way up the stairs to the roof to find valuable clues. He was not looking forward to physical exercise. Not at all.

Then they were already ushered into the school and Suhoon sighed once again, but then he offered his partner his best reassuring smile, though it barely looked like one. Showing emotions to strangers had never been his strong suit, but no one could say he wasn’t trying.

A horror mission. It was really happening. The excitement Minkyung had felt when she had first heard about it had been hard to hide because she had always secretly wished for a mission like that. She wasn’t extraordinarily brave at all, she just really liked horror in general. From time to time, she would force her unnie to watch horror movies with her, and although she’d always be scared throughout the entire movie, she enjoyed the thrill that came with it.

Standing in front of the school they were supposed to film the mission in, her excitement quickly subsided though. It all seemed so real, like they were now in one of those horror movies as those silly teenagers who walked right into danger for the thrill and in the end all except for one would end up dead. The thought made her shiver and she wrapped her arms around herself, until she was handed a folder that she hoped would provide her with some distraction.

Sadly it only made things worse. Reading about the life of the boy whose death she and her partner, Tao, were supposed to investigate only made everything seem all the more real and not staged at all, and her hands started shaking slightly. There was nothing she could do about it, although she tried not to let it show. Her partner seemed anything but sure of himself as well, which was why she decided to at least try and put on a brave face to make it easier for the both of them. Davichi didn’t get the chance to participate in shows like these often, so she mustn’t screw up.

The time to enter the school came all too soon. Minkyung drew in one last shaky breath before walking towards it with her partner, flashing him a small smile that she hoped would look authentic. Once the door fell shut behind them again, she stopped immediately though, already feeling like going back outside. It was mostly dark and the cold air only made the goosebumps she already had all over her body worse. The silence made any sounds she did hear seem scary because she didn’t know—and probably didn’t want to know—where they came from. Thus she decided to break it by talking. “I guess we should go to the library since that’s where our student was found… but where is the library?” A cracking sound could be heard and it took all her willpower not to let out a yelp. “Let’s just… let’s go upstairs.” It seemed like a logical decision for her, because the hallways she could see on the floor they were on right now were all dark and she definitely wasn’t going downstairs either, so upstairs it was.

Yixing couldn't shake the eerie feeling that overcame him as he stood before the abandoned school building. The cool night air was not the cause of the shiver that ran up his spine. As a staff member stepped forward and handed him a folder to share with his partner, Bomi, he was still staring questioningly at the building that loomed before them. The cast had been told beforehand that this was a staged event, and that there shouldn't be anything for them to worry about, but what was this feeling lingering in the back of his mind? Something just didn't seem right, but he couldn't put his finger on what it was exactly.

A friendly nudged coaxed Lay out of his jumbled thoughts and he turned his head to look over at Bomi. He hadn't expressed it to her yet, but he was genuinely happy to have her as a partner for yet another mission. Though some could--and did--say that their partnership started off awkwardly, he liked to think that living together for the past two weeks had brought them closer to one another. He enjoyed the time that he had spent with her, and so he was pleased to know that they had two more weeks.

He had gotten lost in his own thoughts again. With a sheepish smile he opened up the folder and pulled its contents out, brows knitting together as he read. 

❝Lee Dongjin. Male. 17 years old; was in the 12th grade, about to graduate. Introverted, but very sweet; a pro swimmer, the best in school, who aimed to join the national swimming team one day. Won several competitions. No known issues with any other students or school staff members. His body was discovered by the swimming teacher in the morning of Thursday, January 8th 2004 floating on the indoors pool. causa mortis: drowned.❞

"That doesn't make sense..." He muttered to himself. This person was supposed to be a great swimmer, the best in the school. He was aware that accidents happened, but surely someone that good wouldn't let the situation arise.

Suspicious.

He shifted the paper towards Bomi so that she could read it as one of the staff members reminded them of a few of the rules to be kept in mind whilst they took part in the given task; no hitting the actors, no screaming directly into the microphones. The one he took most note of, however, was the rule to stay with his partner at all times, lest they want to be disqualified.

As he watched Bomi read through the folder's contents, he couldn't help but wonder what kind of partner she would be on this mission. Was she the type to scare easily? For some reason Yixing saw her as more of the brave type. Whether he was right or not, he silently promised himself to stay by her side at all times, regardless of how scared either of them were, or which direction that would lead them.

Not much time passed before they were given permission to enter the school building. He flashed one concerned look in Tao's direction--he had become rather well-known for his cowardly behavior on Show Time--before turning to Bomi and managing a soft smile. If he was scared, he wasn't going to let it show so easily.

"Shall we go in?" After recieving a positive response he nodded and headed towards the entrance. Once they reached the door, he stopped, and jokingly motioned for the other to go in first. He laughed, and waved his hand to signal that he was only kidding before pulling the door open and holding it for her even after he had already stepped inside.

It was cold, and dark. It reminded him vaguely of the 'haunted house' that he and the other members had visited before, and yet something about it felt much more real. He looked left, right, and then behind him to check if Bomi was close. He waited for her. His lips pursed as he considered where to start.

"Dongjin was found at the pool, right..?" He pulled the folder out once more to make sure, and nodding to himself in confirmation. "... I think we should start by looking for the pool, then. Sound good to you?" He blinked. "Mm... Would it be on this floor, or the basement?" His head tilted. From anyone else's point of view, it probably looked like he wasn't thinking at all, but he truly was.

"... The main office." He said suddenly, returning his attention to Bomi. "There might be a map in there somewhere." He waved his hand forward. "C'mon, let's go through here."

Yixing led Bomi forward, and through the door leading to the main office. He looked around, and stopped in front of the desk.
