This is why I don’t ship Law with anyone. I’ve seen some character analyses of Law that examined how he DOES actually care about other people and doesn’t want to see the Straw Hats get unnecessarily hurt… but having basic human decency is a pretty low bar. (He also wanted to ditch the kids on Punk Hazard and only helped them because Luffy insisted on it, so… even his basic human decency is something to question.)

Law’s dedicated the last 13 years of his life to revenge. He’s willing to lie to, mislead, and manipulate people who are supposed to be on his side for his larger goals (the entire premise of the Alliance was a lie), and that type of mentality is not acceptable in relationships. Law is extremely closed off and easily exasperated and frustrated by the Straw Hats’ actions and personalities. There’s not a single thing about Law that makes me think he’s capable of having a healthy and stable romantic/sexual relationship that he and his partner would be happy in.

Of course, chances are Law is going to improve as a person. Once Dofalmingo’s taken down, maybe Law will be able to focus on stuff other than revenge. And I’m sure that some people who ship Law have written fanfics and stuff that address and overcome Law’s problems. However, all that has yet to pass in the actual canon, so for now Law is what Law is. And that’s revenge obsessed, manipulative, closed off, and frustrated.
