Status report: I was going the wrong way.
For DARKENED TABULA's forthcoming release, I had surprises in store. I had teasers (which are all over my page. hint, hint). I was going to do some book excerpts.Â
I even had SURPRISE!!!!...a new short story coming.Â
It had been a while since I had done a new Darkenverse short story here. It was the Nicholas short stories. So I was excited. I wanted to tie my short story into DARKENED TABULA.Â
And that should be easy. The Forryn were the main villains in DARKENED TABULA. They were the focus of my short story. They were part of the teasers. So...was 2020 the Year of the Forryn?
Nope. Probably the Year of Coronavirus.Â
Sadly, my plans got pushed back. By plans, I meant DARKENED TABULA. Crazy Rona. On the bright side, I guess that meant that I could work on more exposure/hype for it. So that was the way that I was seeing it.

Now that I saw that I was going the wrong way in the story...something that my characters had to point out to me...the writing had been flowing anew. I couldn't wait to see where it went.
