shalem is smooth. incredibly so. when he begins to settle into your affection, you begin to notice – when he moves it’s like a calculated rhythm, his words are song to your ears. his voice in particular is soothing – when you’re in distress, the sound of it is quick to calm you. (sometimes he gives you “therapy sessions” – he’s incredible at giving advice, especially over a cup of tea. it’s a great talent. you’d like to return it but you assume shalem needs professional help over casual life-counsel.)

on the occasions that shalem sleeps with you, he finds himself waking up more well-rested. shalem’s dreams are more peaceful in your presence – his worries disappear for a little when he buries his face in your shoulder. this calming effect of yours also works in waking hours – his shoulders feel significantly lighter. he has a hard time finding proper words to thank you with.

shalem’s idea of domesticity is very limited – but he works with what he has. through the plays he had to study once, he has an idea of romantic intimacy. he knows it’s probably kind of mawkish to a normal person – truly, it makes him embarrassed too. you get to take the lead mostly – however, he may surprise you with a candle-lit dinner, flowers or letters – and perhaps a dance, if your heart desires.

───── final note: you give shalem a crumb of affection and he goes into fire alert mode. i have no concept of domesticity either so i hope this is ok! it came out a bit short but i hope you don't mind. ;-; i just think that he deserves to feel comfortable sometimes. with himself too. his operator files are like a hydrogen bomb
