hello fellow yaover enthusiast :3 im so glad to finally find another one LOL
even after the release of 2.0 and all the new story there, 1.2’s event is always going to be my favorite in this game because it just feels so down to earth and Real with not only the npcs and other playable characters being fleshed out (more lore via personal history rather than big hyped historical events!!!) but also through getting to know yao in particular! as a person with a complex backstory and reasons for doing what he does, instead of yet another variation of the ‘rover simp’ caricature that we unfortunately see a lot with other characters. ironically being one of the only characters to *not* fall into this archetype just makes his connection to rover feel all the more special to me fhskfnhj anyways. yaover supremacy and thank you for listening to my yapfest LOL
oh yeah I totally get the appeal of the 1.2 event (kuro bring it back this year, plz I need a follow up to show my friends). And I totally get enjoying the smaller stories that the characters in 1.X characters have, like I totally got Changli finally because wow, 1.1 and her companion quest is one of my favourites. Anyways, Love yaorover and whatever they have going on and they're one ship that I end up with more multi chapter fic ideas rather than longer ones.
Like y'know how Aalto tried to get Xiangli Yao to join Black Shores? Yeah. What if he said yes. I would like to know how his dynamic with Rover would change.
Or y'know, a university AU just because. Xiangli Yao somehow ropes Rover into a pet project like the Moonchase and they also get to study together or something. Featuring: Rover has no spare time because he's a president of a club and his DMs are always filled. Save him Yao. He has a problem and it's trying to help everyone on top of his schoolwork.
