I'm making a self-indulgent Yandere Simulator rewrite AU. It's centered around Yaninfo; I don't know if it will be romantic or platonic; their views on each other are a little too complex to try and categorize their relationship that way, but I can say that it is a very weird mix of both, although they may not actually feel romantic attraction towards each other. (I may inconsistently switch from referring to Info-chan with and without the '-chan' suffix. Please bear with me.) Some major changes from canon:

The Aishi condition does not exist. Instead, this belief of sorts is passed down through generations of the Aishi family, this belief is that a person is empty and incomplete without a love interest to devote their lives to. This changes things: the relationships between Ayano's parents, grandparents, great grandparents--how they see each other and act with each other, etc., some other things like the relationship between all the living members of the Aishi family (in the 20XX period), but most importantly, the way Ayano feels about love, finding a love interest, etc.

Ayano's feelings and opinion on Taro. She is not actually romantically attracted to him, and feigned having a crush on him. I don't have exact reasoning on why she chose him, but when she first got into Akademi, she decided to feign on a crush on the first boy she saw, which was Taro. She looks romantically attracted to him and tells herself that she is, but really, she is more focused on the feeling of 'completeness' that she gets from being in love / having a love interest to devote herself to.

Info-chan and Ayano's relationship and dynamic. The two stumble across each other around school and town and interact with each other more often, which makes them have a closer dynamic/relationship than just a client and provider. (They just talk and interact just a little more. They see each other as closer than they actually are, and in turn, percieve each other as if they have a close relationship.) On Ayano's terms: Ayano is intrigued by Info, and desperately wants to know more about her and how she ticks. At some point, Info briefly talked about her disinterest in romantic relationships, and Ayano is somewhat open-minded towards beliefs that contradict hers, especially when it's from someone close to her like Info (Ayano percieves her and Info to be closer than they actually are). Ayano starts to see Taro as 'bland' after a long while, and while Info's identity is very much a mystery, she sees Info as very far from bland in the way she begins to see Taro as. In a conversation around this point, she acknowledges that Info is conventionally attractive (she does see Info as pretty, but not as attractive in the context it is usually used in), which Info mistakes as flirting. Going back to her desire to know more about Info-chan, since Info is very hard to learn about, she tries taking learning about Info into her own hands through stalking her (which is very hard, even when Info isn't literally stalking her at the same time). On Info's terms: She admires Ayano for her belief that one is incomplete without a love interest (the one that Ryoba passed down to her), and Ayano's strong devotion to Taro (even though this wears down over time). She admires Ayano for feeling, acting, and living in a way that she feels she cannot. Info is deeply isolated, and deep down, she strongly desires for someone she can share her thoughts with and be physically close to (she is touch-starved, but she can also be very averse to touch, depending on the situation); she ends up projecting this desire onto Ayano, often imagining scenarios where she talks to Ayano about her thoughts and such. She desperately tries to suppress this desire, as she sees it as something that distracts her and goes against her job and her goal.
