Xion's hands slam down on the table and Olette jumps. "They sell seashells?!" She's leaning in with such an intense look on her cute face that Olette is forced to look away.

She can unpack the qualifiers on that particular sentence later.

Instead she looks to Axel- Except it's Lea now?- for help, only to find him trying and failing to stifle a bout of laughter. The message is clear: Olette's on her own. She turns to face Xion, whose gaze is as piercing and pretty as ever-

Oh.

Olette: How is she supposed to kiss herself?

Xion: What?

Xion wanted Olette’s first visit to another world to be special.

The Guardians spent a few days talking about having a beach party at Destiny Islands when Sora and Kairi returned, and Xion wanted the Twilight Town trio to go.

The way she saw it, they already knew about other worlds. As long as they returned soon after and didn’t cause anyone they knew to start wondering about other worlds, there weren’t any world order issues.

And more than that, Xion wanted to share the world the two people she came from lived in. To all three of them, but mostly Olette.

They didn’t know each other well, but Xion really wanted to get to know her - consider her a friend instead of just a friend Roxas made on a data world. The Twilight Town trio had been very welcoming, even of Axel, and Xion liked them. But there was just… something different, with Olette.

Xion wondered if it was just having a female friend, but Naminé counted, and it was different with Naminé.

When they landed in Destiny Islands, Xion moved forward to show Olette the play island. “I used to come here a lot to pick up seashells during my time in the Organization, so I would know my way around even without Sora’s memories in my head.”

“I’m still not used to how wild you guys’ stories are,” Olette admitted, and Xion grinned at her - something she still thought was weird. Being allowed to just… feel things.

“I don’t think you know half of it,” Xion said. “But tell me! How do you feel about visiting another world? Especially one as beautiful as this one?”

“Well, Twilight Town does have a beach, but there’s something very magical about this island,” Olette said.

“I think so too!” Xion said. “I always felt a connection to this place, though I know part of it was all the… memory mess.”

“I think it’s a good world,” Olette said. “I want to see more of them.”

“I’ll take you to as many new worlds as you want to,” Xion promised. And she really wanted to do it.
