Below is an excerpt from page 29. Roughly, it translates to “Xianghua’s connection with the three treasures, including the sword Krita-Yuga*, traces back to the maidenhood of her mother Xiangfei.”

Near the lower left corner is the furigana (small katakana) indicating the pronunciation of her mother’s name. The character used for her family name Chai is 柴; it turns out in Japanese, it’s pronounced “shiba”.

And I’ve only seen Xiba’s name in katakana: シバ.

That kid’s name was a pun all along!

"Here's the child of Kilik & Xianghua, and he resembles his father. He's rocking a very similar moveset & weapon but I gotta say... I actually like him a lot more than Kilik...yeah. I've admited before that I'm not the biggest fan of Kilik. He's not a bad character at all, but I just don't care much for him. Xiba improved a lot on his father's moveset to the point that I find him a lot more fun than before. Really like some of the combo potential and attacks. Sadly, that's all the nice things I have to say about him. His personality and design are so forgettable. Just a "quirky" version of his dad."
