Me eating hot pot, what a surprise. Our first hang out of the year! I love XLK so much. It truly is my favourite restaurant and meal ever. We ordered medium spicy pot with chicken feet, tripe, beef, potato noodles, sweet potato noodles, and shrimp paste. I also ate a lot of side dish radish and about 100 melons from the sauce bar. Managed to get us 20% off so yay!

Reunited with Esther for hot pot lunch hehehe ^_^ it was so funny because I was walking behind this random person on my way there on the street and then Esther went up to them because she thought that person was me HAHAHAHA help??? XLK was decent as usual but I kept ordering tripe but they kept not coming and they didn't even tell me they don't have it :-( kind of sad. And then they kept giving us food that we didn't order??? Anyway I never think it's worth it for me to do AYCE but XLK is so expensive usually anyways so either way I save money I guess LOLS.

Week 49.5/52: December 5th - December 11th 2022 | Super Spicy Hot Pot 🌶️
Long time no hot pot! Back at Xiaolongkan with my parents. Been thinking about eating a full 红锅 for the longest time and happy to finally eat it. I ordered the perfect amount of food but then my dad kept urging to add more and then I ended up 200% full LMAO tragic. Also it’s so sad how I can never eat here without getting my clothes dirty......... from now on I am only allowed to wear all black when I eat hot pot. Anyway I ordered 牛油麻辣大辣 for soup base (look at the amount of peppers - SO YUM) as well as my usual stuff like beef slices, chicken feet, cow stomach, shrimp paste, oil sticks, spinach, sweet rice cakes, deep fried pork pieces, and duck blood.... also added a ice jelly for dessert as well as some sweet garlic on the side... yums!!!
Week 38.6/52: September 19th - September 25th 2022 | Birthday Dinner #2 🌶️
Went to eat Xiaolongkan aka my favourite food with my parents on Sunday for a big birthday feast HAHAHAHA. There was so much food fr (could not fit everything on table - duck intestine, beef, beef tongue, hand pulled noodles, boneless chicken feet, corn, cow stomach, potato glass noodles, gluten puffs, and brown sugar rice cake desserts). Got 3 soup bases, 牛油大辣麻辣, tomato, and pork bone broth LOL. I was only eating spicy section pretty much. It was super yum but got filling so fast. My eyes are always bigger than my stomach. BRB food coma.
Week 12/52: March 21st - March 27th 2022 | 小龙坎告别餐 🌶️
Met up with Lu aka my first friend from work for dinner because she is leaving the country soon 😭😭😭 so we went to eat Xiaolongkan (FINALLY). We ordered the classic spicy & tomato soup base with beef slices, spicy beef chunks, cow stomach, stem lettuce, potato noodles, shrimp paste, imitation crab, and frozen tofu. It was so yum!!!!!!!! LOVE THE FOOD QUALITY AND THE TASTE OF BROTH! Omfg literally best hot pot place in Vancouver ever but the price increases are SCARY since the last time I came which was 2019....... Regardless it’s been ages since I have eaten a 大餐 so I ate happily. 毛肚 yyds. We both left so full LMAO.
