Here's a functionally non nude version even though I didn't really draw her nips should Tumblr bully me.

i believe this was trivia date. if it wasn’t, that’s what i wrote.

               Mulder sees a poster for theApplebee’s Trivia Night while he’s on the phone with Scully, outside his usualbar and discussing a case that she has been assigned without him. She’s inIdaho, elbow-deep in corpses, no idea when she’ll be home. The poster says thatthe trivia nights are held on Tuesdays; there’s a five-dollar entrance fee, andthe winner collects the pot at the end.

               “I’m just saying,” Mulder says,after reading these details to Scully. “We could get rich, Scully.”

               Scully makes a throaty, noncommittalnoise. “When is it, again?”

               “Tuesday nights.” Mulder knowsthat Scully has nothing to do on Tuesday nights, or any nights, that her lifeis him and the F.B.I. entirely. Instead of being depressed by this, he choosesto be thrilled. He’s already trying to think of something snappy to callit—Mulder and Scully’s Tuesday Trivia? He’ll have to find a time to insert thatinto the conversation, slick as he ever is.

               “We’ll see,” Scully says. “I’vegot to go.”

               “Think about it.”

               Satisfied, Mulder hangs up thephone and goes back to the bar.

               Scully has no reason to opposethe Trivia Night Date, as she’s begun calling it in her mind, and she knows it.Besides, she’s pretty sure that she and Mulder and going to kill it. Shedoesn’t keep up with pop culture as much as Mulder does, but her breadth ofknowledge is just as impressive, if more classically and scientifically focused.They’ve agreed to put aside their inevitable winnings, use them on a rainy day.

               So Scully is feeling good,sitting in the passenger’s seat of Mulder’s car two weeks past the initialphone call. The case in Idaho became complicated when their serial killercrossed state lines, tying her up there, but now she’s back, one hand onMulder’s knee. What they have is unspoken, uncomplicated, a breath of fresh airfollowing the smell of the morgue.

               The Applebee’s looks like everyother Applebee’s, brown brick and green banners, the yellow hum of its lightingleaking out into the twilight. Mulder parks, they depart.

               At the bar she orders astrawberry daiquiri; Mulder gets wings, dipping them methodically in theirsauce as they go through the trivia. As predicted, they know every answer. Aspredicted, they win the money: $45, $35 if you subtract what they had paid.

               When he deposits her back at herapartment, right before she leaves he says, “See? Loosen up. Have fun. Wincash.”

               She laughs, closes the door.

               Over the course of eight weeksthey manage to rack up about $300 from the trivia nights alone. Then they arebanned from the Applebee’s, which might have to do with Scully getting a littleabrasive while tipsy on winnings and strawberry daiquiris, or the fact thatthey are too smart, too good, unfair to the competition.

               They use the money to go to afancy dinner in the heart of D.C. Mulder wars a tux; Scully beats the dust outof some old dress she finds in the back of her closet. They dig snails fromtheir shells, drink a $100 bottle of wine, and share their best trivia.

               “When the computer mouse wasinvented, it was called the “X-Y Position Indicator for a Display System,”Mulder says.

               “How’d it become the mouse?”

               “The tail that comes out of theend.”

               “The sum of all numbers on aroulette wheel is 666.”

               “Devilish.” Mulder grins.

               “Maybe it should be an X-File.”

               “Old joke, Scully.”
