(for context, non-waffle followers, the dbh-dsmp au is a product of my chaos that i will hopefully begin producing actual content for soon, but for now exists solely in the brains of xaime and a few of our friends.)
mwhahahahahahahaha my dbh au that only you and the waffle gang know about strikes again but here have some things:
-tubbo was initially awarded the internship by cyberlife because he won an engineering competition at his high school. however, since the majority of the cyberlife work is done in developing code, with most of the androids made through automated processes, he was taught how to code by George instead of doing actual engineering work. luckily, he took to it quickly, and when, three years later, he went on the run, he was far more skilled at coding stuff in regards to androids than physically repairing them. this is why he has difficulties fully rebuilding tommy (asides from the parts issues), but has enough technical knowledge and experience (especially after working with jericho) for partial repairs, like to ranboo and michael.Â
-speaking of learning from jericho, it was a medical droid called puffy (like marcus in the game) that taught tubbo how androids function and how best to repair them, as well as phil, who has trained himself in repairs due to his constantly breaking prototype systems. with puffy and philâs help, tubbo advanced to the level where the problem wasnât his lack of skill, but jerichoâs deficit in spare parts, especially one that would function with tommyâs model. Â
-sapnap initially does not trust anyone in jericho, as dream turning on him convinced him that no one is trustworthy. the sole exception to this is george, who helped him escape, and quackity, who is the first android in jericho to befriend him. eventually, the rest of those in jericho get on his good side, too, and though he is not immediately trusting of ranboo, he is able to accept him far easier than he would have been able to accept anyone months before, and takes to michael immediately. (healing from trauma? in my dbh-dsmp au? more likely than you think.) also, he and karl and quackity are engaged, and do eventually get married post-revolution.
-most of ranbooâs left side has lost the ability to mimic human skin when some of his systems were damaged in escaping cyberlife and the authorities, and though tubbo has done his best to fix it so that it isnât obvious, he has to wear a mask, sunglasses, and layers to hide it from humans. glitches in the mimicry tech have become more common, as of late, and wilbur suspects cyberlife has added that for easier detection of deviants -- tubbo, george, and their other allies with experience in robotics are working on finding a way to counter it.Â
-george isnât trusted by jericho at ALL, especially not by tubbo, who still remembers him standing by as tommy was disassembled. heâs doing his best to prove heâs on their side, with sapnap and eventually karl and quackityâs help, and his first project is figuring out how to make tubboâs deviancy virus stronger, as well as countering the aforementioned maleware released as a result of deviancy, which have expanded beyond simple cosmetic glitches in some cases to actually affect function (like with the issues regarding karlâs predictive tech.)
-skeppy is, as cj (@satans-throw-pillow for you newbies reading this ask) said, a deviant. he and bad met because they used to be involved in this pre-jericho movement for robot independence called âthe eggâ, but when the eggâs headquarters were found and raided, bad helped get him out by having skeppy pose as his assistant. they now work mostly outside of jericho, doing undercover work for wilbur.
-there are so few humans in this au, itâs crazy, but introducing a new one: niki! she was actually the first human to work with jericho, and since food isnât always a priority for the androids (cause. androids) sheâs usually the one to make sure tubbo and the other human allies have food supplies. she also smuggles information and supplies for jericho through her bakery, and joined with puffy.Â
-foolish was a custom childcare android for a very affluent family -- thus, he was granted built-in weaponry to use in protection of his charge, including an arm that effectively functions as a taser. when the familyâs mansion burned down, he rescued their newborn son from the ashes. learning that the arson had been an attempt on their lives and that the kid was presumed dead by all authorities, he effectively adopted him, and called him foolish junior, usually shortened to junior. he tends to stay with bad and skeppy instead of with jericho, although tubbo eventually convinces (read: bribes) him into becoming michaelâs babysitter when tubbo and ranboo need someone to watch their kid. because his model was originally meant to be a construction android (as theyâre generally built for harsher conditions than childcare androids), he also has architectural planning capabilities, which he generally uses to make for pillow forts for the kids, as well as to find and construct safehouses for jericho.
-wilbur initially believes tubbo killed tommy or stole his parts, because one of jerichoâs spies in the junkyard spotted tubbo trying to fit parts to a very damaged androidâs head and torso (not a great look). however, when confronted, tubbo explained the situation, and wilbur reluctantly agreed to help him, for tommyâs sake. tubbo wasnât allowed to know the location of jericho for about a year, until the abandoned building he was living in got raided and puffy insisted on bringing him back to jericho when rescuing him. now, however, wilbur and tubbo are very close, and wilbur trusts tubbo more than almost anyone, excluding phil and fundy.Â
