12. A Trope You're Really Into Right Now

As you can guess by the fact that it is the topic of one of my current WIPs, for the first time, I've gotten into hanahaki. It's a fascinating metaphor and playing around with it in a platonic context is really fun and unique.

I only just started it yesterday so I'm only on my third character, but Willow is a wizard and Giles will also be a wizard when I make him. Buffy is a monk, and I made the Scythe for her in homebrew. Because canonically all her stats are high and that's essentially impossible to do (especially using point buy, which my boyfriend [rightly] said would be the correct way to do stats for a non-pc like this) I had to mess around with items to get her AC to be high enough but I'm building them as they are in season 7 so it makes sense for her to have a bunch of magical items I suppose. Boyfriend also successfully argued for the party being at level 5, essentially eternally badass normal, and for the entire cast to be human, but I'm making Anya as a demon for some variety, and I know for a fact there's a vampire-like species in dnd I just don't know anything about it nor do I know if my boyfriend has it on his account which he's sharing with me, so I guess we'll burn that bridge when we get to spike. Willow also got a couple of magic items - a book of necromancy spells and elvish mail, just so she's not quite so squishy.

I'm working on Anya now, and she's going to be a warlock tiefling with D'Hoffryn as her patron, but I'm looking forward to making Giles since the bf pointed me to "abberant dragon mark" as a feat, which I'll flavor to be the mark of Eyghon.

I'm basically doing this just to get a little more familiar with dnd in general. I dm'd for the first time last week and I want to know more about the behind the scenes. But also because making a bunch of custom shit for my version of Melinoe Hadesgame was a lot of fun and I want to mess with the platform some more

anyways do you have any thoughts on what angel might look like in your au? :] or anybody else i'm not picky

that’s very interesting actually haven’t though about angel all that much, design wise esp. given the notes I have on vampire designs he’d have pointy ears and a tail. His ears are more like, smaller, orc like almost that I know and I could imagine him having lost at least part of his tail. Angels such as character where both I don’t think about him a whole lot and David’s like look just gets him I guess. I want him to be like clean and neat and mysterious and tall dark and forehead but like almost raggedy under all of that I guess. Like he’s a stray cat too. I also think he should have a lot of scars, unclear if they’re from his angelus time or after, there’s a certain element of parallels between him and buffy with their alienation from society and Their People so yeah having small things design wise they share fits.

given how this is like ultimately a modern au still I’m pretty sure he’d be like. Scared of phones. Or not know how to work them at least. Old ass man

yknow I was expecting to get asked about dsmp and/or qsmp ships or maybe even hotd but I DO love those two little guys

i haven't worked out everyone in super fine detail but it's a very fun activity. kinda annoying though trying to work out what ancestries to make the nonhuman characters. that's something i haven't figured out yet

they're just level 2 for now since idk what to actually do with them (and unlike in dnd, pathfinder gives pcs most of their class stuff very very early on so i don't have to level them up super high to give them the feats i think they should have)

How I feel about this character:

he's so, SO. THRASHES HIM AROUND. leave john baby we could raise you better (<- younger than dean is for over half of canon). we simultaneously need to sit down on the floor and sip and hot coco with him and peg him. no in between. one or the other. big feelings about the Dean that are hard to decipher.

no one. hashtag my aromantic slut. #MyAromanticSlut. well thats a lie actually he can be pseudo-romantic with Lisa.

My non-romantic OTP for this character:

the only reason im saying debriel and not wincest is because we've been having god awful horrible debriel brainworms as of late. when Gabriel killed Dean a hundred thousand times in Mystery Spot that was foreplay. theyre my favorite slut4slut fuckbuddies of all time.

My unpopular opinion about this character:

not in love with Castiel in any way that matters to alloro's or people who treat qpr's as romance-lite or a mandatory thing all aro's have 👍 actually we're in wincest spots for the most part my unpopular opinion for that half is that he wouldnt turn Sam into an (sometimes feminized) atticwife. is that still popular? it was last year.
