    He rubbed his eye and-- Why was it stinging now? Wait. Why was his hand wet? Looking at his he saw it covered in blood. He had not worked on a patient today… Fully paying attention to what was around him, there was a few drops of blood on his paper, and his pen had some from where his hand was holding it.

    He got up and started to head for the bathroom, staring at his bloody hand. What..? Did he forget to clean something up? No that was not like him… Not like… It was getting hard to think again. When did the hallway get so blurry? Did he forget his glasses? But they were… Here… Floor...

Meditation and controlling his inner darkness. This was the life of Altanen Buduga, Novice Dark Knight. He kneeled down in his room, listening to the very hums of life around him. The pumping of his own blood; every time a door opened within the office; the padding of footsteps and one final, strange sound.

He knew that sound. He knew that sound too well. That was the sound of a body hitting the floor. His concentration was broken as he quickly got up, grabbing his great sword. But this place was guarded, there should be no enemies around. Why would a body fall to the floor? He held his weapon close, padding close to the door as if he was stalking prey. Had someone come in and slain someone?

Opening his door he glanced around. No enemies… Not yet. But what he did see was a dribble of blood on the floor. Was someone wounded? The splatters of blood, but nobody was dragged; it was someone traveling with a wound. He stepped out, heel to toe to stay as quiet as possible. If an intruder was around, they’d be at the end of the blood trail.

He followed it closely, slowly getting to the end of the trail. He knew it, there was someone at the end of it. His grip on his sword tightened as he approached and--

“ААВ!” Altanen cried out, throwing his sword to the side and running to the collapsed man. He picked Chuluun up and checked his life signs. Breathing… Heartbeat… He was alive, but why was there so much blood coming from his nose? Picking up his father, he ran to the clinic, setting him down onto the bed in there. “<What do I get you, what do I get you…>” Altanen said, running his hands over one another. Giving him the wrong thing would poison him, possibly kill him. All Altanen could do was sit his father up and clean off the blood.

Altanen cleaned his father off and sat him up so his bleeding nose wouldn’t drown him. All that adrenaline suddenly emptied out of his system as he sat down… What happened? There was no external wound… Did… Something happen to his health? Did he drink something wrong?

Altanen could only sit there and wait…
