FMS FCX24M Compared To LDARC X43
I just received my 1/24 FMS FCX24M Land Rover Discovery. Here are photos comparing it to my 1/43 LDARC X43. It’s still remarkable to see how much smaller 1/43 is to 1/24 scale.
Obviously, first thing to do is to put it to some tests … Haha … I built some cardboard obstacles to see what the FCX24M can do.
Here is a video of the FCX24M in action. Really happy with how it performs out of the box.

Improved Nano Crawler Obstacle Course
Added some new obstacles to my nano crawler course that I built previously over here.
The 2 new obstacles fit in the box for easy packing and transport. Here’s a closer look.
Customizing LDARC X43 Nano Crawler
My fascination with micro RC cars has taken a new turn with my latest discovery: the LDARC x43 (Find in AliExpress). This 1:43 scale nano crawler is like a full-sized off-roader, but in a tiny, irresistibly compact form. It’s all the thrill of a larger crawler, just miniaturized for an even more intense experience right on my desk!
I decided to do some customisation to my x43 to make it look like the Camel Trophy trucks. The first thing that I knew I had to do was to design and 3D print a roof rack. You can download the file here.
Next was to print some decals and do some weathering with a paint wash, panel liner, dry brushing, etc., and sealed with a matte coat. Below, you can see the before and after.
To complete the look, I used some lightweight balsa wood to make some wooden crates for the roof rack. A foam sheet was also rolled up to make it look like a sleeping bag. I used a tiny elastic cord to hold everything in the roof rack.
Here are the final pics.

X-43A (Hyper-X) [+]
Four decades of supersonic-combustion ramjet propulsion research culminated in a successful flight of the X-43A hypersonic technology demonstrator in March 2004, the first time a scramjet-powered aircraft had flown freely.
