So if Grian ca copy anyone’s powers, what happens when he copies pearls? Do wings just like sprout from his skin? That’s sounds really painful!

Whose power had the worst affect on the holder?

Can Gem and Grian talk to Mumbo and Skizz when projecting? (I can’t remember is that has already been asked)

1.) For subjects’ whose powers rely on a limb that they had to grow, Grian’s body would only change to accommodate the new limbs. For example, if he were to use Pearl’s powers, he would in fact grow a set of wings, but he would not also have antennae sprouting from his head.

2.) I would say that Pearl, Etho, and Ren had the worst time with their manifestations. Pearl had to be restrained since she was thrashing around so much as her wings grew suddenly and painfully. Etho had a semi-random mutation, and while he handled it better than Pearl, it was still extremely painful to suddenly grow some new bones. And poor Ren shouldn’t even look like that. He’d already gone through the process of awakening his powers, but nooOOOoooOOOoo, the scientists weren’t happy that he could just turn into other people and tested his limits too harshly.

3.) I also can’t remember if that’s been asked, but yes! They can!

4.) Bdubs has the least-harsh tests since his powers rely the most on his physical wellbeing.

5.) I would say Skizz had the worst treatment during tests. They pushed him much, much too far to end up receiving nothing for their efforts.

So wanted to ask, if it's not spoilers of course, who was the the first to get their power?

How was it like for them?

How did the other subjects found out at the time?

And while the side affect started to appear did the scientist took the subjects to a place where they could keep a closer eyes on them or did they just left them to suffer in their cell?

I know it's kindda of a lot or may hold some spoilers, I'm sorry I really like your au and some questions I had in the past started to pop up in my brain again, so if it is too much, maybe you could share some stuff about Bdubs instead, please

Not spoilery at all! I can answer these!

The first person whose power showed up was Jimmy, and shortly afterwards it was Bdubs. Seeing that their physical appearances hadn’t changed much, the other subjects were.. I don’t want to say comforted by it? But like.. they weren’t freaking out any extra. And word traveled pretty fast since that powers were at least being gained since people were coming back obviously bewildered, and they’d all try to read lips through the glass to explain to each other what was going on.

For Jimmy, it was very scary. He didn’t know what to do and thought the invisibility was permanent. Bdubs was more calm about his power but very confused.

The subjects didn’t start really panicking until the third subject, Pearl, gained her powers. She was dragged through the halls wailing in pain as she now suddenly had large wings, antenna, and mandibles sprouting from her. She was just thrown into her cell with bloody bandages wrapped around her wounds and left to suffer.

I wanted to ask a bit about Bdubs' power and how it works, I know there's a giant post somewhere but I forgot where, and also maybe how big is it's range?

I actually took some screenshots of what was discussed so I wouldn’t forget!! Here’s what I have (plus some Tango powers sprinkled in there):

you could argue that his powers work in a radius where he takes the place of the large mass, so things closer to him display less elapsed time and thus appear to move more quickly than things farther from him - mimicking the notion of slowing time from other people’s perspective

I know in wildlife he also moves more slowly but I always felt like he should’ve been able to live faster than others to make his powers more viable so you could easily ignore that part

(btw according to time dilation if you were traveling fast enough (im talking far faster than anything we’ve been able to manage so far scientifically) then you could theoretically travel through time)

I’m not a science-smart person either. That’s why my major I’m working towards is graphic design. XD

But I like that! I was also thinking about something similar to (for those of you who’ve seen it) that one spell in the Dungeon and Dragons movie that happens at the beginning and end of the movie wheee they’re in like a time bubble thing.

1: Do the beds in each cell have enough room for a subject to fit under? If so do any hide down there since it would be like, the only space not just out in the open?

2: How close are Pearl and Scar?

3: What kind of experiments are done on Bdubs? Does he interact with other subjects very often?

4: Does Ren ever transform into people outside of testing? Who and why? To freak scientists out?

1.) Yes, and yes. I’ll post pictures of the cells and layout soon (I know I keep saying that but I really do mean it I promise-)

2.) They are SO close. When Scar was moved to her cell after The Incident, he was sure Pearl would hate him or be scared of him, but she wasn’t. They bonded very quickly, and they ground each other.

3.) I’m going to make another post at some point about the specific tests that everyone does based on their powers, but Bdubs’s would consist of how long he can use his powers. They’d also see if he could pick and choose who was affected by the time dilation within that bubble.

anyways that’s it! Also, would Ren and Bdubs be close at all? (IM STILL LIVING IN 3RD LIFE AND HERMITCRAFT 9.)

I haven’t put a whole lot of thought into Bdubs just yet, but I shall take this into consideration! That’s such an interesting idea.

Cleo is seen as a very parental figure, mainly to bdubs and Scar, both of em will accidentally call them mom from time to time (in the events that they all escaped happily ever after which i am choosing to believe bc i cannot handle another outcome)

cause now im just imagining a scenario where he activates his powers either consciously or subconsciously to try and avoid smth such as getting hurt, but because he is also affected by it he isn’t actually able to avoid it and it just takes much longer than it would have otherwise and thus is even more traumatic

idk if this makes sense but like for example, if they planed to hit him or smth and although he can see it coming he can’t physically move away fast enough to avoid it

(i do think you could maybe have best of both worlds with his movement during his powers episodes though, maybe have it start with him not knowing how to remove himself from the powers effects and have that something he learns to do later)

(…though this does raise the possibility of them using his powers to do endurance “training” on people by having them experience pain for longer without the side effects of actually bleeding out or something 😬)
