well clearly he can’t have spent three to seven decades in the shadowfell in a modern au but I’m not sure what the equivalent would be. an accident or natural disaster that left him with some amnesia? idk.

sa’ida. wyrnn carries so much pain, and there’s so little she can do about those old ghosts except stand by him. she worries far more than she lets on. she just wishes she could help

sa’ida is absolutely the big spoon no matter how much taller wyrnn is. they jetpack it even if it means sa’ida wakes up with a mouthful of hair (wyrnn’s a bit of a restless sleeper so it’s easier that way. and it makes him feel safe

6. What is their favorite feature of their partner’s? 

sa’ida likes his hands, of course. hands, arms, shoulders. very good at doing things. very strong. good for holding.

wyrnn likes her face, soft eyes and soft smile and sharp little jaw. how expressive it is, like her whole life lives right there, if you know how to look. (he doesn’t in the beginning, but he learns)

16. Who wants to stay in bed just a little longer? 

sa’ida has risen with the sun her whole life and when given the opportunity will absolutely sleep in (this is fine with wyrnn, who wakes early no matter what. he likes watching her.)

SA’IDA –– young for an elf (80-120 ish), late august, virgo

WYRNN –– also young-ish for an elf but old by human standards (150-200?), spring(?), taurus(?) [wyrnn remains a big ol’ question mark, but he feels like an easygoing spring type beneath all the Tragedy™]1

1. Do they have any notable features, like horns, tails, or so on?

SA’IDA –– has pointy elf ears, but that’s all

WYRNN –– also has pointy elf ears and I feel like his eyes might do funky eladrin things but besides that, nada

18. Have any special keepsakes?

SA’IDA –– definitely has something from home but idk what. a bottle of wine, maybe. she’s saving it for a special occasion

WYRNN –– has keepsakes from his old party, but he doesn’t quite know what they are; he just knows they’re unspeakably important. he keeps them in his bag (stuff like a bit of cloth, a ring, a lock of hair, etc)

21. What are your character’s manners like? What is their type of hero? Whom do they hate? 

WYRNN –– he’s polite, if a little shy and quiet. hero-wise, he looks up to people he finds righteous and pure of heart. he doesn’t hate anyone. he doesn’t remember anyone enough to hate them. (he could hate someone in the right circumstances, but he hasn’t had the opportunity yet.)

BRAN –– she’s probably better mannered than she intends to be? she was an achingly proper and polite child and nearly ten years at sea hasn’t changed that as much as she wishes. her hero is her mum, of course, but more broadly it’s the kind of person who goes after what they want with big, bold strokes and doesn’t care what gets in their way; determined and larger than life. and she doesn’t really hate anyone. annoyance and indignation are about the worst it gets; even with the bad guys there’s always a thread of amusement laced in there. all part of maintaining that perfect facade of careless ease. (it would be easy to say she hates herself but she doesn’t. she disappoints herself, sure, but she’s too self-aware for hate. and kinda vain.)

ART –– a very polite young lad with some surprising social graces for growing up in the slums (he had a good mentor). his type of hero is quiet-but-determined, and he thought he hated his uncle for a while but it turned out to be more complicated than that

32. How does your character react to stress situations? Defensively? Aggressively? Evasively? 

WYRNN –– evasively, but in a “path of least resistance” sort of way. he’ll double down and stick it out, but he’ll find the most flexible way to make it work. he’s not the sort to cut and run, he just works smart rather than hard

BRAN –– puts on the bravest face she can muster and pretends it doesn’t stress her out as much as it does, and when things get really bad she finds a way to wriggle out and be somewhere else. baring that, she just keeps moving forward. one foot in front of the other; it’s the only way to go

ART –– takes a moment or two to himself and then buckles down and gets to work. sometimes it takes him a little bit to get there, but he always steps up eventually

50. What are the prevailing facial expressions? Sour? Cheerful? Dominating?

WYRNN –– closed-off and cold. very distant, sometimes a little confused. like he’s trying to remember something, or maybe forget. but he’s always paying close attention to everything around him

BRAN –– cheerful, bright, usually smirking just a bit, eyes a little crinkled like she’s about to smile
