It’s like in the great stories Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were, and sometimes you didn’t want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy. How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad happened. But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something. Even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn’t. Because they were holding on to something.

her name is amerie beauregard and she's a high elf
she's a bard. i begrudgingly chose to be a bard because i read that they're one of the best, most versatile classes. let me tell you, i would NEVER have chose a bard otherwise because im not into that theatre nerd shit kfnskdfns;;;; however. this class has proven to be a lot of fun and im actually having a good time flinging her violin around and taunting enemies with petty insults
she's got an incredibly sharp tongue and can get out of many perilous situations with her wit alone; however she thinks she's invincible and is stupid as fuck sometimes because of it
she grew up a street urchin and worked her way into a life of crime, and although she mostly chooses to do the right thing she is very mischievous and loves stealing valuable things
(sike: she tells people she was a street urchin with no parents to seem tough but she's really a rich kid who grew up with distant parents due to their religiousness and strictness. its just far more interesting and tough sounding to have been a kid with nothing that overcame it all)
she's got a large family who are mostly nobles. because of their status she was afforded the best schooling and quite the lavish life. though she looooves adventuring she misses some of the comforts of home (but would never fucking go back)
she was excommunicated from her family as a teenager bc she didn't ascribe to their devout worship of a deity. they felt like they gave her many chances to "get in line" and practice spirituality in the way they wanted her to, but the straw that broke the camels back was amerie gravely hurting a family member (who deserved it...!) so they kicked her to the curb

1. What drew your character to their LI and vice versa?
JORINA/ALEKSI — it was very much a classic case of Opposites Attract with these two, with an added bonus of discovering similarities afterwards that strengthened their growing bond. jorina was initially interested in him because she was just. in Awe of his "act first, face consequences later" approach to things as it went entirely against everything she knew and—for reasons that take her far too long to puzzle out—she found it an attractive trait. (aka, jorina is constantly wound up so tight that she felt an immediate pull to someone who so confidently lived life on the other end of that spectrum.) i’m not entirely sure for aleksi?? mayhaps it was recognizing a similarity between them when it came to feeling like they were not quite part of the crowd after years of having the view shoved in their face from how people would look/speak to them, and he found a draw there to a sort of kindred spirit. or it could have been her cute smile, the world may never know.
MAEVE/DIETRICH — as we all know, maeve needs help because she looked at dietrich in all of his growly-aloof-bastardly glory and decided that it was her new goal in life to befriend and bed him. clearly a lot of what drew maeve in was sexual attraction because she’s a simple woman, but i think another part of it was getting excited by the Challenge. he was standoffish and didn't respond in kind to her flirtations, but she could still see they had an effect that he tried so hard to hide and it gave her a thrill to think about how much fun she'd have getting under his skin. it is of my personal, humble, big brain belief that dietrich was drawn in by maeve's charm no matter how he tried to fight it. and the tiddy, we can't forget the tiddy. but mostly that it's hard to be given so much attention by someone like maeve and Not feel some kind of pull, even if the sweet talking fluster you beyond belief sometimes.
9. How open are they with their feelings?
JORINA/ALEKSI — 😔😔 just had to do it to ‘em. just had to make me out them for being clowns about this, huh. okay so well here’s the thing: i think that they’re very good at communicating their feelings overall, outside of those months where genuine attraction/fancying went without being discussed because they both had their separate concerns for how it could affect their friendship. but beyond that, and especially after they’ve properly gotten together and had a good handful of talks about things, i think they’d be very open with their feelings as both a learned experience from keeping them quiet before and the general vibe i get from the pair of them that is them feeling comfortable enough with each other to discuss whatever’s on their mind. jorina might take a bit longer because she’s been Repressed for a whole ass decade, but they still manage it.
MAEVE/DIETRICH —these two are just,,, an anomaly, really. because in general, dietrich doesn’t know how to Talk about his feelings and maeve tries to Hide hers behind twelve layers of charm and flirtation so that nobody thinks she’s anything but the happy woman she wants them to see, and that’s how a lot of their “communication” went in the beginning. HOWEVER, it’s because of the fact that they can see right through each other that after a while maeve finds it surprisingly easy to open up to him. he already knows when something is Off with her and she never feels as if he’ll judge her harshly, and that makes it almost simple for her to admit things that may be more difficult with others. it also helps that she firmly believes he would never lie to her tbh. now dietrich on the other hand… boy does it take time for him to get anywhere in the vicinity of “open communication” about tough feelings. he’s plenty good at voicing irritation and even anger to an extent i think, but the more mushy and vulnerable feelings take a long time, and a lot of effort put in from both sides at establishing a safe and trusting bond between them to where he knows that maeve will sit with him for as long as he needs to piece together what he’s feeling and how to explain it.
16. Jealous at all?
JORINA/ALEKSI — shut UP don't make me put jorina on blast for how she'd get so jealous her scarf would almost turn green whenever aleksi went on bragging about one of his bedroom escapades before they were together, those stories went from vaguely amusing to driving her insane near the end there. after they become Official, i don't think jorina would get jealous anymore. insecure at times, maybe, because she isn't as experienced as him and thinks others might be able to offer him more, but never jealous. aleksi has literally Zero reason to ever get jealous, she has eyes only for him and it's so painfully obvious to see (especially in hindsight).
MAEVE/DIETRICH — perchance. mayhaps. a little smidgen on maeve's end, but nothing overbearing. a natural inclination that may rear its head from time to time, but always gets smacked away by the common sense of "it took you literal weeks to get into his pants and longer for his heart, there is not a single thing to worry about". dietrich simply does not care enough about others to see them in an envious light 💜
