i actually slept during the ride there so it worked.

on the way back rune was sitting on my shoulder and was a lot more alert but that went for me too. we stopped projecting sometime during the car ride because my head got too loud and distracted with processing thoughts from the day.

im hesitant on the eastern quoll as one of rune’s introspective forms. i don’t know why i don’t like it, but im slowly learning to love it.

one way i love connecting to my dae is by learning mythology about their forms.

the maned wolf is rune’s most prominent choice when appearing as one of his introspective forms.

maned wolves are of south american folklore. they are spiritual beings, shapeshifting creatures. in guarani mythology maned wolves are seen as a protector, a guardian of the wilderness. they are also treated as an elusive spirit that travels the high grasslands. Its habit of barking at twilight and its ability to blend into the tall savanna grass have earned it a reputation as a cunning trickster and a spirit that walks between the physical and supernatural worlds.

upon the arrival of european settlers, maned wolves were associated with the legend of lobizón (werewolves) due to their physical traits like its long legs and raised mane when frightened or angry.
