okay so i have a silly little headcanon based on Spirit Tracks and Wind Waker in the Legend of Zelda franchise

in the Wind Waker when Link receives the tradition green outfit, he is most certainly UNHAPPY. he clearly thinks it’s a lame outfit and doesn’t like it.

but by spirit tracks we see that that outfit in now the standard royal guard uniform.

so my headcanon is that Tetra (who we do know is the first queen of New Hyrule) knew EXACTLY how much link hated that outfit so purposefully made it the uniform of the royal guard to “honor him”

but really she was just messing with him
