I don’t know why the fuck I’ve been dragging my feet about doing a write-up for this underground masterpiece, but I’m doing it now. YUNG WVLF is a pretty mysterious electronic producer, can’t find much on him, but his sole track, this flip of David Guetta and Kid Cudi’s “Memories”, is swank as the dickens. I haven’t heard many flips like this, it’s got that distinct future bass sound, but the bass seems to fluctuate and have its own more defining rhythm that not even the synths in the foreground can overcome. In fact, I’d say the synths act more as backing and the bass is the foreground. While the vocals are still there, the song is extremely different from the original. Get ready to take a ride on a full-bodied, original flip, guys.
